Firstly, how many of you have actually joined the Community that I am posting on? Please do so!

Secondly, I have 2000 Ecency Points to give as a prize to somebody who makes me laugh the most (how many of you use Ecency instead of PeakD as your front-end?)... so what do you have to do?

In the picture above, I have borrowed the first 3 panels of a famous "Calvin & Hobbes" comic. I have also blocked out Calvin's speech bubble in the second panel...

Please comment what you think Calvin said there? For some context, it is clear that the teacher was expecting a question about what the class was currently busy studying (a chapter of History perhaps), and then Calvin surprises her by asking a question on a completely different topic altogether instead! (Knowing Calvin, he probably wasn't even listening up until that point!)

So please drop your comments? I will pick a winner just after this post is 7 days old, and transfer 2000 Ecency Points to him/her/it!

Good Luck!

Why do we have to move...? Can't we just stay here...? I'm already tired...

It's funny thinking about a hyper-active 6 year old being tired! I personally think that fitness is subjective... my wife gets very tired if she comes hiking with me, but I get very tired if I go shopping with her!

Hahaha... That sound sounds exactly like my wife and I!

And I thought that might be the problem here for Calvin too... It's a psychological/mental thing. If he could run around, the hyperactivity could kick in (FUN!!)... But for heaven's sake...sitting in this boring classroom, listening to that previous (never-ending) chapter...and now he even has to move...to the next boring chapter!!? Will this ever come to an end😅??

We haven't seen Santa in while, did he travel?

Aww - this was the year that my 2-year-old daughter seemed to get the concept of the funny red man that gives you presents.

She was lucky enough to meet someone playing the role of Santa at three different little parties, and was really excited to see him (and get another little present) by the third time! Spoiled little thing!

Hehe.
At that age, they believe every gift comes from the red man.

No, shame - we try to make it clear that Santa gives the little presents, and the bigger, fancier ones come from real people (us or the grandparents, etc).

Otherwise, she will start to wonder why Santa is nicer to some kids than others!!

Can I live young forever? Hahaha

Hahaha - I wish! Meanwhile, children actually always seem to want to grow up as fast as possible. Maybe they think adulthood has more fun and freedom? If only they knew!

Haha 😆😆😂
That's true, children want to experience adulthood while adults who has the tough experience wants to return back to being a child, haha 😂😆

"Why do you always give us colored crayons in this monochrome world?"

Whoa fourth wall! Actually I remember that Calvin & Hobbes was sometimes in colour, especially the longer full-page ones (Lazy Sunday Book?) - I was quite a fan!

By the way, I sometimes fantasize about doing exactly this kind of thing in a work meeting! "Any questions before we close the meeting on the sales milestones? Yes, Jasper?" "Uh, do you think Dricus really won that fight? (UFC)" Hahaha

!LOL

Whenever someone asks me "for a tip" and I have not given this answer yet I reply "Sure. How about -Never eat yellow snow-?"

On the other topic, I learned about Calvin and Hobbes in English class and then ordered in a book store (back then there was no Amazon yet) The Essential Calvin and Hobbes.
And that was at least 50% in color if I remember correctly. But those (almost) 4th wall breaks were a nice tool in these comics every now and then....

Did you hear about the cowardly pigeon?
He lacked COO-rage.

Why did the grape got crushed because it was out of juice hehehe

Or maybe it was out of juice because it got crushed?

Cause and effect can be tough thing in science - I once remember scientists trying to explain that warmer seas release CO2, which then makes the world even warmer (through the greenhouse effect) - so you get both causing the other in the end!

Yeah 👍
Hahaha

If the air is invisible to humans, but water is visible, is it vise versa for fish?

Ooh that is a good question! Well, apparently light leaving water refracts on the surface of water. This means a fish in a river will look closer to the surface, than it really is, to a person looking in from the side...

Ah- thank you but that wasn't my question 😅 I was asking a joke question. If we can't see air, but can see water, can fish see air but not water?

Hahaha it is a funny question and maybe I'm too serious! But... Can we see water if it's clean enough? I've seen drone footage of clean water over reef... And it looked like the water wasn't even there until a wave came!

Interesting.. also I'm generally kinda bad at words so it mighta just been that lol, dw

- well here is a link to the kind of footage I'm talking about! Hahaha

Calvin said, "Why are we always moving to the next chapter? Can't we just remain here?"

Oh man, that sounds like a metaphor for life - can't we just stay kids forever and never grow old? There are some fans of Calvin & Hobbes who like to imagine that Calvin and Suzie (the enemy girl next door) eventually grow up, fall in love, and get married! Hahaha... that's the next chapter we never got to read, except for fan-fiction!

I know, right 😂.

Ooh fun! I like this idea... will comment with a funny question soon 😁😅

Ooh you'd better... or you win fokol! 😝

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Don't let the 7 days go by!

"Is it true that turtles can breathe from their butts?"

Hahahaha you made me laugh @zackludick.

!LOL That's a bonus!

And what's your "Calvin out-of-the-blue question"? You actually have young kids to inspire you!

Whoa... what? Apparently some species can respire through their "cloaca"! Why didn't we learn this kind of thing at school? It sounds like the kind of cool thing that Calvin would actually latch on to!

lol, well I might not have made you laugh but I definitely made you use Google!

In the end, I am awarding the prize to @mrenglish ! I think it is quite likely that a 6-year-old child might be wondering what Santa gets up to for the rest of the year instead of paying attention in class, so I thought that was sweet!!!

Many thanks bro.
It's so amazing getting this prize.
Let's do it again, folks.

No problem! Remember Ecency will only "boost" good posts, so be sure to write some great posts to either boost or promote with these Ecency points!!
