The Sushi Restaurant

For many years, urban artistic expression, shown through graffiti and multiple colors, was stigmatized, persecuted and even sanctioned, since in the collective ideology it was thought that this was an activity that disfigured the streets of the city, destroying a friendly environment and turning a wall into a focus of violent messages, rebellious behavior and little sensitivity for society. But today, in the XXI century, I think many of us have realized that this is an idea that must be completely eradicated, since urban art, really, is a clear and perfect sample of many feelings and energies, realities and gifts. Which are perfectly captured on walls that were once gray and forgotten and now become places full of life, lots of color and great joy.

Durante muchos años la expresión artística urbana, mostrada a través de graffitis y múltiples colores fue estigmatizada, perseguía y hasta sancionada, ya que en el ideario colectivo se pensaba que esta era una actividad que afeaba las calles de la ciudad, destruyendo un entorno amigable y convirtiendo a una pared en un foco de mensajes violentos, conductas rebeldes y poca sensibilidad por la sociedad. Pero hoy, en pleno siglo XXI, creo que muchos nos hemos dado cuenta de que esa es una idea que hay que erradicar por completo, ya que el arte urbano, realmente, es una muestra clara y perfecta de muchos sentimientos y energías, realidades y dones. Los cuales se ven perfectamente plasmados en paredes que antes eran grises y olvidadas y que ahora se convierten en lugares llenos de vida, mucho color y grandes alegrías.

Graffiti, with all its complexity and meanings, has become a true sample of artistic pieces, where invaluable talents, perfect combinations and unthinkable situations are demonstrated, generating totally creative environments, and 100% coherent with the dynamics of a city as complex and dynamic as Caracas, a space where we all fit, where there are many types of thoughts, but where we definitely have a common goal, which is the shared development, the achievement of individual goals and full happiness.

El graffiti, con todas su complejidad y significados se ha venido convirtiendo en una verdadera muestra de piezas artísticas, en donde se demuestran talentos invaluables, combinaciones perfectas y situaciones impensadas, que generan entornos totalmente creativos, y 100% coherentes con la dinámica propia de una ciudad tan compleja y dinámica como lo es Caracas, un espacio en donde sin duda alguna cabemos todos, en donde existen numerosos tipos de pensamientos, pero en donde definitivamente tenemos una meta en común, la cual es el desarrollo compartido, la obtención de metas individuales y la plena felicidad.

It is in this way as the end of Paradise Street, in the heart of the parish of San Bernardino, I found this piece that welcomes us to one of the most interesting Sushi restaurants I've met, as not only serve delicious dishes, but their prices are truly attractive. Beyond this advertising space, I want to recognize that this wall painted by @paint_royalty (Instagram) is a true beacon of light in the middle of a space that was dark and empty before. I remember that some time ago that corner generated some fear and anxiety, but now it has changed radically and has become a space with a much softer atmosphere, better lit and at the same time with a greater sense of security.

Es de esta forma como el final de la calle paraíso, en pleno corazón de la parroquia San Bernardino, Me encontré con esta pieza que nos da la bienvenida a uno de los restaurantes de Sushi más interesantes que he conocido, ya que no solo sirven unos platillos exquisitos, sino que sus precios son verdaderamente atractivos. Más allá de este espacio publicitario, quiero reconocer que esta pared pintada por @paint_royalty (Instagram) es un verdadero faro de luz en medio de un espacio que antes era oscuro y vacío. Recuerdo que con tiempo atrás esa esquina generaba algo de temor y angustia, pero ahora de un cambio radical y se convirtió en un espacio con un ambiente mucho más suave, mejor iluminado y al mismo tiempo con mayor sensación de seguridad.
