Hello everyone! It is with great joy that I start the week posting on the popular Street Art contest, which is in its 243rd edition. I rarely pass by here, it is impressive that in my day to day life I almost never come across interesting murals, but when I do I fall in love instantly and I stop to appreciate it and even a little more. Today I will not share a graffiti, but it is a beautiful mural that I discovered in one of my hiking routes, in fact it is just before starting to climb and has captured my attention from the first moment.
The mural is called “La Danza de las Tradiciones” (The Dance of Traditions), and belongs to the plastic artist Oscar Molinari. It was carried out in 2005 with the mosaic technique and is located under the bridge of Boyacá Avenue in Caracas, right at the entrance of the Sabas Nieves path in Altamira. The place looks like a tunnel and is properly illuminated both day and night. Coincidentally, this year is already 20 years since its inauguration, and people take great care of this space, and it is properly maintained.

What I love most about this mural is what it represents, and that is that along these walls you can see 17 Venezuelan traditions expressed in art, and I am referring to popular festivities and dances that we are taught from childhood as Los Diablos Danzantes that scared me so much or El Pájaro Guarandol that I danced so much in school. As you go deeper and look to the sides you will come across many images, that at first glance you have to be knowledgeable to know that it is Los Palmeros de Chacao, La Burriquita, El Catire or Los Tambores de San Juan, quite an experience, especially for those who appreciate it for the first time. For me it was a pleasant surprise, and I have already enjoyed it a couple of times more, in fact these pictures were taken on my second visit to Sabas Nieves.

Thank you very much for visiting and supporting my publication, I don't know if it is valid for the Street Art Contest as it is not graffiti, but I thought it was the ideal community to share it with my Hive friends. I say goodbye with a video I found on Youtube where you can appreciate the complete work, besides being a great idea for me, I had to record a video 😅

Hey bro! Thank you so much 🙏
Good morning, dear friend @jesuslnrs
This passage is truly beautiful. I love the gorgeous artwork there.
I appreciate all the information about the work. I like how well-maintained it is, considering it was created 20 years ago.
Beautiful, colorful, and very meaningful work.
Have a great day.
I am amazed at how well it has held up over time, and I think it is a collective work that has crossed at least one generation. Thank you brother 🙏
