I know, I've missed out on the last few CCC's Street Art Contests, but this time I found an image to submit, and not any old image either: It's a gigantic mural towering fifteen stories high in the Zona Rosa neighborhood of Mexico City. The exact location is the corner of Rio Lerma and Rio Tiber streets, to be exact the wall of the Hotel del Angel Reforma.
Painted in friendly pinks and oranges, it is an image of a small girl in the front, and a young woman standing behind her. Could it be her mom, or maybe her older self? In either case, a number of hands behind the girl's shoulder give her the appearance of angelic wings. Other similar features are flower petals, matching with the floral design on her shirt. Flowers, feathers, and wings all surround the ladies, until above them... they seem to become butterfly wings, soaring high in the urban sky.
The mural was painted by Adry del Rocío for the UN Forum Generation of Equality on April 24, 2021.
Beautiful wall with this color scheme. I like your idea of "older self". Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.
Thanks! Always a pleasure and an honor.
