After her capture, a flashback revealed Abby visiting Owen at the Seattle Aquarium four months earlier. After a friendly archery competition and a tense discussion about tracking Joel's brother, the memory faded. Back in the present, Abby was dragged through a dark forest and hanged by Scars to face a brutal execution.
After Abby was captured, the story shifted back four months. I found myself at the Seattle Waterfront Aquarium, where Abby was looking for Owen in a much calmer time.
Abby knocked on the heavy door, and Owen eventually opened it. He seemed a bit distracted and didn't immediately invite her in, so she had to insist on entering his hideout.
Once inside, I followed Owen deep into the heart of the aquarium. The entire place was decorated with festive lighting, making the massive tanks look almost magical in the dark.
I took some time to explore the space. I noticed several target boards Owen had set up for archery practice, along with some chemical containers he warned me not to touch.
Owen challenged me to a shooting contest. I picked up the bow and managed to hit the targets with much better precision than both Owen and Mel had shown before.
Abby wanted her name at the top of the scoreboard. Owen hesitated, but after she joked that Mel would fight him over it, he finally added her name to the list of top shots.
Owen led me to a room that I remembered seeing as a crime scene in the present day. In this flashback, however, it was filled with festive decorations and felt full of life.
The conversation turned serious as Abby revealed they had a lead on Joel's brother. She spent the moment convincing Owen to join the revenge mission, noting that they already had Mel's support.
The flashback ended abruptly, returning to a rainy night in the present. Two Scars were dragging Abby through a thick, terrifying forest.
Abby looked on in horror at several bodies hanging from the trees, all with gruesome cuts across their stomachs. Before she could react, the Scars threw a noose around her neck and hanged her as well.
A Scar woman approached to carry out a ritualistic execution. Abby was absolutely terrified as the lady began to cut into her, preparing to deliver a slow and agonizing death.

I liked the aquarium scene most. It felt peaceful and beautiful. Seeing Abby Anderson enjoy a small moment like the archery game makes her character feel more real and human.
The return to the present was very shocking and intense. The scene where Abby Anderson is captured and hanged by the Scars is very dark and scary.
Crushing Owen's high score in the shooting contest was a highlight. It was a nice bit of character building to see Abby insist on getting her name at the top of the board, showing that competitive side of her before things turned serious.
Owen’s archery skills still got Abby thinking hard about tracking him, good tension.
