Going back to the beauty of Graphic Adventures - Playing Broken Age

A long time ago I loved to sit down, without responsibilities, to play some excellent graphic adventure for hours. These are titles where there can be a mix between gameplay limited to puzzles and a very successful narrative with stories that bring many surprises in the middle. I remember that Broken Age was a game from my favorite studio at the time, Double Fine, so playing it again was going to be like going back to the old days.

In addition to the fact that this game came out in the middle of a boom in traditional graphic adventures, Telltale Games was destroying all types of games, it seemed that the genre was having a recovery, and in essence I really liked the story, two perspectives of different worlds that at some point they were going to connect and change everything.

I had my eye on this game since it was announced, perhaps back then there was much more coverage of graphic adventures because of what I already mentioned, there was a lot of expectation about these titles and Broken Age took advantage of the wave quite well, that doesn't mean To say that it is a bad title, I remember that when I played the first part I loved it and I looked forward to the second part until after years, just look at some of these screenshots and how beautiful the game is.

The game, as I said, is about two young people in opposite situations, one lives in a town of pastry chefs where she lives a relatively simple life and the other lives in a spaceship that does not know exactly where it is going, only that it is going alone without a soul. to accompany him, from there a couple of strange events arise that make the story of these two come together for some reason, those are spoilers that I don't want to give.

But only by taking some screenshots can we see the delicacy of the graphics that this game has, I swore I read on some news portal that these graphics were initially made by hand and that makes sense because of how beautiful Vella's landscapes tend to be (one of the protagonists) that there are warm colors and in the case of Tim there are colder colors and there is a lot of focus on the emptiness of space.

In this first part I only played Vella's story so I don't remember too much what happens on the other side, although I do remember that it is a story that has no waste, the graphic adventures themselves have a very good narrative and this one in particular has me It caught our attention that it has a very good OST and the music used in each scene gives a magical touch to the gameplay.

It is a very simple adventure, one of those that I would recommend my children play, I don't think the puzzles are complicated although as always the interfaces in these adventures are a little difficult to decipher due to how unusual these games are on the market, something like a tutorial would have been good but if you pay attention you won't miss anything, especially the beautiful graphics.
