As we saw in the previous post, Sakai and his team entered the lower compound of Castle Kaneda and finished off all the enemies. Then Sakai explained the plan to everyone.
He told Sensei to climb the tower and keep an eye out so that he could shoot arrows from a distance and take down the enemies. He told Yuna to wait by the bridge. And Sakai went to the upper compound with Lady Masako, because there were more enemies there.
Upon entering the upper compound, he saw a variety of soldiers, some with large spears, some with bows, and some with two swords in both hands. Direct combat could be dangerous, so Sakai decided to attack stealthily.
First, he stabbed an archer in the back. Then, he emerged from behind a broken house and plunged a knife into the throat of a spearman. Unfortunately, another archer saw him and started shooting arrows. Sakai immediately raised his bow and shot him in the head.
The other soldiers became alert and rushed towards Sakai. Just then, Lady Masako rained arrows on the enemy, distracting them. Sakai took advantage of this opportunity to fight the spearmen. At first, it was difficult because they were dodging or parrying the blows. Later, Sakai changed stance, and then the fight became easier. Masako finished off the archers, and the battle was over in a short time.
Sakai then asked Masako to take a position there so that when he later went out with Lord Shimura, she could help him with arrows from a distance if the enemy pursued him. Then Sakai advanced inside alone.
After going a little further, he met Yuna. Yuna was waiting by the bridge as planned. She said that there were three archers and a spearman ahead. As soon as the spearman separated, Sakai killed him from behind. But then an archer saw him. Sakai quickly raised his bow and killed them one by one. A soldier threw an explosive and hit Sakai, but Yuner killed him and took control of the situation.
After defeating all the enemies, they cross the bridge and reach the main gate. There, Sakai's old memories come back. once the Mongol leader Khtun Khan threw him off this bridge. Yuna is surprised and asks how he survived.

The teamwork in this mission was very impressive. Jin Sakai gave clear roles to everyone, and the plan worked perfectly. The mix of stealth and open combat made the battle intense.

I really enjoyed how you described the teamwork between Sakai and Lady Masako. Having her provide cover with arrows made the combat feel so cinematic.
Yeah, that's true. She was very helpful. As the lady of the clan Adachi, she is a skilled archer.
Stealthing through the broken houses was a smart move. Taking out the archers first definitely makes the rest of the fight much more manageable. I also go for those archers first as they're big threats in a battle with their uncertain arrows.
I always do that, kill the archers first because they are very annoying. Killing them first would give you the freedom to move easily.
You are doing an incredible job detailing the liberation of Castle Kaneda. Good luck with the next part of the mission. You have built up a great team, and I am excited to see how the rescue goes.

The moment at the bridge was very emotional. Jin remembers how Khotun Khan threw him from that bridge. It shows how much he has grown stronger since that painful moment.
