The Gaming Photography Community | The Announcement.

in Gaming Photography4 months ago (edited)

This space is dedicated to gamers who would love to capture and share the breathtaking moments through stunning screenshots.

You may ask what's the need of another gaming genre community when there are successful ones, for example: Hive Gaming community.

I (@rashed.ifte) am somewhat a regular member of hive gaming community and I've been publishing gaming content there for quite some times and when talking or describing about a game or a certain part of a game, I personally was looking for a well decorated community where some of the best gaming moments can be shared through screenshots or maybe from the photo mode that most recent games are offering.

To be honest, I didn't notice another community with the same name (Gaming Photography) before I created this one.

So I'll first try to decorate/maintain this community that I created by inviting gamers and let them feel like they are really welcome here to talk about their special gaming moments which they wouldn't do in another community.

Things you need to follow when posting in this space.

  • Make it a 100% original post. We do NOT accept plagiarism. As you're going to show us screenshots from your gameplay, take the screenshots from your play and do not think of using someone else's.
  • We accept only English content, no matter if its translated or not but only English.
  • There should be at least 350 words in your post describing the screenshots or you may talk about behind the photo or the photo settings that you may found in photo mode of the recent games.
  • Choose the best fitting screenshots as this community is mostly about showing off those screenshots not the writings or the story but try to leave a concise info about the screenshot so you meet the minimum words count.
  • Use appropriate tags and categories to help organize content like you may use #gaming for sure, then #screenshots should be good fit and you may/should use #gamingphoto which can be the extra community tag.
  • Avoid sharing content that is offensive discriminatory or violates the platforms guidelines. Keep it friendly and inclusive.
  • Keep discussions and posts related to gaming photography only.
  • NSFW tag is a must for adult or nude scenes of your gameplay. (Updated)
  • As HIVE is a social platform, try to engage with other users inside our community (you should do that in other communities as well) through your comment, upvote and follow.
  • Gaming related posts with good in-game screenshots from other communities (eg. hive gaming community) are welcome to be cross-posted here.

Nice, I like posting my gaming content on Liketu qnd might have some content that fits here. Looking forward to seeing everyone's posts :)

Sounds good to me. Yeah, I think using Liketu frontend would be great to show-off the screenshots and you may get some extra upvotes from Liketu team as well.
You're welcome to show off your best gaming moments and I can't wait to check that out. Good luck.

I know that Daltono has uploaded his Gran Turismo 7 screenshots to Liketu at times and since it is the same platform he can share them through HGC...but to this day I haven't got around to learning how that works yet.

With that said, I quite like the idea that you have here; with how many games can have some really cool places to take screenshots from, between toying with filters, 3D game landscapes, and just that you happen to record or pause on a very cool looking frame, there's sure some fun to be had playing "Pokémon Snap" with many games out there.

(...Because yeah, this really reminds me of that Pokémon Snap game I used to have for N64, where the legitimate goal of the game was taking nice photos of the Pokémon on stages. Just realized I haven't played that in a long while...)

The only thing I'm wondering is whether cross-posts of photo-focused posts I happen to upload to HGC would be allowed here or not, but that little thought on my head aside...I'm definitely looking forward to staying tuned on this one, and even share my own screenshots sooner or later 😄

I know that Daltono has uploaded his Gran Turismo 7 screenshots to Liketu at times and since it is the same platform he can share them through HGC

I did the same thing once but only once cause the next time I thought of showing off the extra special screenshots in the most fitting community. Of course HGC is the best fitting for gaming genre but I take HGC as the main branch of gaming genre where we don't just talk about some screenshots while this community can be a sub branch kinda thing, you know.

I even thought of naming the community as "Hive Gaming Photography" which would be HGP but I was/am confused and the title can't be that big.

...Because yeah, this really reminds me of that Pokémon Snap game I used to have for N64, where the legitimate goal of the game was taking nice photos of the Pokémon on stages. Just realized I haven't played that in a long while...

I bet you fell on your nostalgic moment with Pokémon Snap although I never tried that one so I can't understand how deep you get nostalgic there.

The only thing I'm wondering is whether cross-posts of photo-focused posts I happen to upload to HGC would be allowed here or not

Of course that's allowed here. I'm updating the post now with this, thanks for the reminder.
This community is mainly for the extra screenshots we wish to capture from the best gaming moments that we may not have the chance to talk in a post we're publishing in HGC but posts from HGC is definitely allowed to be cross-posted here.

Actually, I myself had the need of a community like this where I can just talk about the special screenshots when I may talk about the other part of the game in HGC. I see you already noticed my post showing off Miles Morales in the air and the photos that I shared there was stored for a long time as I was not getting the chance to fit them anywhere in a post.

I hope you understand my points.

Yay! 🤗

LEO Power Up Day - December 15, 2023

Creating a dedicated space for gaming photography is a great idea. The guidelines you've set for the community are clear and ensure a positive environment for sharing the unique gaming moments. You may count me in as a member of this community. Already subscribed.

I hope the community grows and becomes a vibrant hub for gaming photography enthusiasts.

Thank you so much for your support and positive feedback which means a lot. We're happy to have you on board as a member of our gaming photography community and we're looking forward to seeing your unique gaming moments and contributions.

Let's make this community a vibrant hub together.

Glad to see another Gaming Photography community! I created my community, Gaming photography, as a place where others could share their gaming photography without clogging the Photography communities and the Hivegaming community. I also created it to save my personal 'game photography' experiences as the odds of those events or viewpoints being the same if I revisited them would be astronomically low as in that moment.

I wish you well and hope your Game Photography come out looking amazing!

Thank you for your kind words. Your support means a lot, and I see we share the same passion for capturing those unique gaming moments.

To be honest, I didn't notice another community with the same name (Gaming Photography) before I created this one

I dedicated that part to your community actually and it's nice to see that you noticed this announcement post. If I had noticed your community before then there was a chance for me to publish my gaming photography there.

You're also welcome to save some of your best gaming moments in this community. I'll try to reward the good contents.

OMG. I suddenly remembered the breathtaking views when I was atop the mountain in Zelda:BOTW. Nice!

It's amazing how gaming can evoke such vivid memories and emotions, ain't it?

If you happen to have any photos capturing those stunning moments, we'd love to see them in our gaming photography community. Feel free to share and let's celebrate the beauty of virtual landscapes together.

Hey! thanks for the invitation! I love the gaming photography!

Photography for all art that requires composition is essential. There are truly spectacular games, and some have begun to integrate the photography mode, which for me is a delight. Happy to start posting here. As an audiovisual art professional, it is without a doubt one of the aspects that I enjoy the most in terms of staging and composition.

I think this community can work very well as long as the content about the game is not the same as what you are posting in the HGC or a cross-post.

For example, this would be a good use and way to create content: Yes, at HGC I am doing a series on "Delivered Us Mars" where I am discussing my frustrations at not being able to solve a puzzle, the immersion process, and the storyline.

Here in the Gaming Photography community, I can create a post about the same game, but focusing exclusively on the photographic aspect, in this case, the game has the photographic mode, where I can go deeper into this aspect, talk about many other factors that They correspond exclusively to this, the photography that exists in cinematics, etc.

So, I think this would be the correct way to manage posts in this community. It would even be very interesting to see things like photographic series, and photo exhibitions. As a photographer, it is something I would like to see.

I offer myself to curate the posts and their quality in this community, if possible, I would be delighted, any other support I can provide do not hesitate to tell me @rashed.ifte @hive-185676

Thank you so much for your thoughtful message. Your suggestion about differentiating content between the general gaming community and the gaming photography community makes a lot of sense. Actually, that's the theme of this community.

Your offer to help curate posts and maintain the quality of content is truly appreciated. Feel free to share your own photographic series and insights.

Thank you, sorry for my late response but I've been very busy this December! family and other things. How are you? Yes, I will definitely do it, I will also start posting very soon!

It's alright, late is far better than never 😊 I understand the busy time in December.

I'm fine, thanks for asking. Looking forward to seeing your special gaming moments.

Hey, thanks for inviting me here.

I guess having a specific gaming photography channel is a great idea. I agree with @venapboyz about creating posts about the same game focusing exclusively on the photographic aspect.

You have my support. I'll try to curate quality content from this community more often.
Good luck. @tipu curate 8

You're very welcome, and thank you for your support. It's fantastic to see agreement on the idea of focusing on the photographic aspect of games and creating unique content.

Your commitment to curating quality content is greatly appreciated. If you ever have suggestions or ideas, feel free to share them.

Very well noted.
I love gaming and try to upload my gaming stuff in the hgc community.
I will be looking forward to upload my photographs from the games I play here. This is I think something good for the gamers.

Absolutely, and we're happy to have you on board. It's wonderful that you're passionate about gaming.

We're looking forward to seeing your gaming photographs in our dedicated gaming photography community. Happy gaming and photographing.

Hey buddy, thanks for creating this community which definitely should be helpful for gamers like me. Currently I'm playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and believe me I really love to take screenshots of that game through the fantastic photo mode. I even stored a lot of good moments of me playing the game that I didn't and won't talk about in a general gaming post that I normally write.

I'll be happy to contribute to this community and hopefully I'll start from today.

Thanks for your feedback about the community. I see you already shared your first post into the community and we're looking to see more of your great gaming moments like that one. Good luck.

Yeah I already shared my first one and now I'm about to go for another one. Thanks for wishing me good luck.

I sign up.

That's great. Looking forward to see your special gaming moments.

I find interesting the idea of the community, to dedicate a site to those incredible views that we can see in video games and that many times we all end up taking screenshots to simply save them hahaha

Yeah that's the point of this community. Thanks for your well understanding and we're looking forward to see some of those moments from your play someday soon.

Que buena idea! Espero pasar para mostrarles mis capturas de mis logros en minecraft que es mi juego favorito.
Nos vemos

Suena genial. No puedo esperar a ver esos momentos especiales de tu juego de Minecraft.

I have read your latest post. What games are allowed to post in this community??

Hi, its about sharing your best gaming moments.
There's no restriction about which game but I'd suggest ignore card games or games that usually don't give you good types of screenshots as this community is about sharing the special gaming moments through screenshots.
You can check what others are posting in the community so you understand more.

Let us show what you got in your mind. Good luck.

I like it.. keep uploading quality content

Thank you. Looking forward to see what you come up with.

After being inactive for some days (around two months), I was looking for something to come back and then I noticed this community what is exactly I was looking for in my mind.

Now that I'm back, I'll try to show some good gaming moments of my play in this community from time to time. And I'm going to write my first post in this community right away.

It's thrilled to know that you've found your way back and we can be a cause for your return. Keep showing us your best gaming moments and you're welcome to Gaming Photography.

BTW, we have an ongoing contest that you might want to check and you can find the details in the post below.

Absolutely come find me and I'd love to tell you more. I've actually got a lot of different community leader friends.

Keep up the excellent work!

I hope soon to have a better PC to take better captures, for the moment I will adapt to my current resources, the rules are simple, but very important to create a healthy environment.

I hope soon to have a better PC to take better captures

We hope you get to that fast as we're also looking those better captures. But yeah, let's adapt to you current resources for the moment.

The idea of forming a community based only on video game screenshots seems to me a spectacular idea, honestly I have a lot of cool stuff to show. :)

Thanks for your positive feedback. You're welcome to show off all those cool stuffs.

Thanks to you for the creation of the community. Success

You're most welcome.

Ufff man, this is a great community, I really fit in. I was looking for something like this for a long time. I am late, but I hope to be welcome.

Of course, you're very welcome to our community. We're glad to have you among us.
