A Healer's Touch : Hanaoka Sensei

There was this quest that I found long ago while doing this quest that I almost forgot to go back to. So, today, I traveled back to find the monk. Luckily, when I reached that tower, he was there, standing and waiting for me to come.

After talking to the monk, he told me to search for a healer at the inn in Tsutsu. I had to travel 1.2 kilometers from this tower to reach Tsutsu, which is quite far. Although I can fast travel, I choose to ride my horse to reach there and enjoy the view as I travel.

I rode across the jungle so I can cover more area and remove the unfoggy, undiscovered map area. In the meantime, I can grind flowers, bamboo, and much more in the wild.

I reached a lake, where I saw travelers murdered by bandits. They must be near by, I must find them.

I found the bandits who were responsible for the murder. They tried to kill me, but this time they had picked the wrong opponent.

The bandits can deal pretty good damage, but they are easy to kill since they don't have proper armor.

They can never hit me when I dodge successfully, as fast as the eye can blink, I already at their back.

It's crazy how much blood this guy has.

I noticed there were two more bandits behind the walls, inside the house. So, I rushed in using the open window.

The first guy got his throat stabbed.

He not only got his throat stabbed a few times, but it was slit open. Look at that blood.

The second one, the last one, gets kicked and stunned to death.

Poor lady. She must be the owner of the house.

I continue my travel with horse to the south. To find this sensei, the healer.

Then I saw there were Mongols guarding Kishi Village. I stopped by to clear the village and get skill points.

I called up the giant for a stand-off fight. The giant was really bad at it, and that cost him his life.

The sword man's fate was no different. With Stone Stance, he doesn't have a chance.

Killing the archer whenever I saw them was a good idea. So they won't interrupt the battle.

The one who shot from the woods got chased and cashed out.

The shieldman that been following me while I'm chasing the archer finally got his death.

Same with his fellow shieldman, this one got pierced pretty bad.

I am too good to end this archer's suffering. That's the end of it. No more Mongols around the village.

Pay respect to the victim.

After clearing Kishi Village from Mongols, I continued my travel.

When I reached the inn, I saw a man kneeling outside, as if he knew I was coming.

It was Sensei Hanaoka, the healer. He needs to get to a camp in the woods that was occupied by ill people, but afraid because the area overrun with bandits and Mongols.

We were on our way to the woods. We saw a terrible thing, a man got hung on a tree to death. What a terrible way to die. We were chit chatting about Yuna, the woman who saved Jin, and Hanaoka Sensei's mother, who taught him the healer touch since he was a little boy.

In the middle of nowhere, in the woods, we stumbled upon a group of bandits trying to rob a couple.

A thing about bandits, they will never negotiate with mere words, as Hanaoka suggests we to do. The only thing that can solve this problem is to kill them.

My sword drinks this man's blood from his head straight to his stomach.

This spearman has no chance against a kick. His life, just like his body, flies away.

The swordman has no chance of winning. He keep fighting till the end tho.

The last one. His spear got thrown away from this hand.

This couple were so lucky. They might get killed if it weren't for us to find them. They leave their farmstead because everyone were sick and they don't want to get infected. They don't know what else to do. I don't blame them.

We were separated, and they went to the inn. Stay safe, couple.

Then we continue our journey.

We finally reach the village in the woods, which Hanaoka was talking about. We were greeted by a lady in orange attire. She told us many were sick, including his son.

We went into her house, where her son was lying on the mats. He was really sick.

After investigating the village, I found out that there was a half eaten mushroom nearby the house. He must be desperate to eat the poisonous mushroom.

Hanaoka asked me to find river moss after I informed him about the mushroom. He is really a good healer to be able to come up with the antidote right away.

The river moss will good for now, but Hanaoka wants to get the tubers which is stronger than the river moss and he was pretty sure that will help all the sick in this farmstead. The tubers grow near the pond, which was located far from the farmstead.

So, we left the farmstead and went to the pond to find some tubers.

When we reached the pond, it was heavily guarded by the Mongols. So, I unsheathed my sword, ready to fight. While Hanaoka let me do my thing, and watching from safe distance.

Quickly finished off the standoff battle.

I saw archer trying to sneak attack me from a distance, so he must be killed asap.

There was a hornet nest nearby, one of the Mongols got stung by the hornets and met his death.

Another archer met his ancestors.

I messed up in this battle. The tall grass interrupts my vision. It's harder to see their movements, especially their hands. This makes it harder to dodge at the right time.

I get more hits than usual and get sent flying a few times.

But, I am still killing them. One by one.

I killed the giant last. Like always, it's so much fun fighting with the giant.

After defeating the Mongols, Hanaoka comes from his hiding place and starts collecting tubers. Then we return to the farmstead.

We have enough tubers to treat everyone on this farmstead, but we were too late for this poor lady. Her husband cried because his wife had died.

It was a sad moment. Some of the people were just clueless about what to do. They were lucky to have Hanaoka to treat them now.

It was too late for some, but for this lady, there's hope. She is regaining her strength.

Others are still struggling, wishing the herbs would do the miracle and heal their families.

Others had to move on and take comfort in knowing that they were all at peace now.

So, that's all for today. Thank you so much for your support! Until the next story about Tsushima! Have a nice day!

The landscape of the sunset in the forest where you rode your horse was very beautiful, I love the level of realism it has, I am also very surprised by the fighting style, the creators of this game did not think twice to make the blood particles come out everywhere.

We can disable the blood effect in the setting.. but where's the fun is that xD
