I've seen peoples taking down hordes easily in their gameplay videos but I never tried doing it no matter how many times I noticed them. But I had to fight a horde this time which became a compulsory task for me and now I noticed its not as easy as it looks or maybe it gets easy over time.
I talked about fighting the Chemult horde in my last post but I didn't finish the story as the post was getting a lot bigger so here I'm to tell the rest of the story.
I left the mission area and had to start a fresh.
That's where I paused the story. At the restart, I reached the spot fast and I started attacking the horde even before it reached the hibernation area and then I was running towards my bike when I got their attention.
When the horde was chasing me like crazy, Deacon was saying he doesn't think they're trying hard enough. After getting to a good distance, I stopped to shoot some of them down but they're too fast that they don't take much times to get to me so I had to move fast.
I was riding the bike around a certain area as I couldn't leave the mission area so I was going back and forth and circling at the same area and was stopping at certain spots to shoot some of the down.
Kouri kept asking me to get out of there as if he'd bomb the horde up if I listen to him so I listened to him for once and reached his position but he didn't do anything when the horde reached our location as well.
I could escape riding the bike again but Kouri didn't survive so I had to do it from the beginning again.
I wouldn't give up when the game mechanics suggested me to skip this part if its too hard for me. I attracted them and made them follow me again and this was the last try.
As you can see, I tried more destructions this time as I was getting bored of trying from the beginning over and over. This time I was fighting them from up front.
Suddenly I noticed I could climb up on that roof through a school bus and there I damaged the horde very well but they started climbing up as well and I had to escape and get to the bike.
I was not sure I'd survive but I did.
Then I held this position as my last stand and I started luring the horde there for 3/4 times. My strategy was like I'd shoot as many as I could till they climb up to me, then I'd ride the bike and come here again to do it again.
Yeah I nailed it. Took down the horde and then went inside the cave they used to lay down at daytime and found a NERO syringe there that I used to boost up my stamina even more.
Then I returned to Kouri when it was already dawn and both of them went to the camp to tell Weaver it worked well.
Deacon went to Sarah's tent but found the Colonel there who said all essential personnel doing R&D have been moved.
Deacon asked the colonel where Sarah was moved saying he'd have to deliver her something that she asked for so the colonel took Deacon to there in the cave where Sarah was kind of became a hostage, I don't know why.
Sarah hinted Deacon saying she's been working on a new assignment and its poison this time. Deacon told her he'd take her out of there and then left the place finishing the mission.
And that's all I wished to talk about in this post. Stay tuned so you don't miss what I'll show later in this Gaming Photography community.
If you like the post, feel free to like, comment & share. I will soon come with another post.
Oh several times I've seen this game on sale but I didn't dare to buy it, sometimes I read that it's great, other times I read that it's not good, plus I have a lot of games to finish before, but I have no doubt that those fights against hordes look absolutely brutal, worthy of cinema.
I love how you narrated your adventure but especially the screenshots you shared, they look extremely cool especially the ones you captured at night.
