Stunning Landscapes From the World of theHunter: Call of the Wild

in Gaming Photography15 hours ago

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

This Week's Contest theme by the Gaming Photography Community is Stunning Landscapes and I almost missed it, I have a few more hours to submit my entry. I don't know why I would miss this theme, I love to take landscape pictures in theHunter: Call of the Wild. Sometimes, all I do in it is now take some nice photos and improve my virtual photography skills. Anyway, let me show you some stunning landscapes from this game.

I will start with Snowny maps, I love Snow and strolling in virtual forests covered with thick snow is quite fun too. Of course not even close to the real thing but for now this is my only retreat, I guess.

The above shot is from the Yukon Valley Reserve, which gets covered in snow only after a recent snowfall and if the sun shines for long enough, the snow would melt exposing the lush green vegetation of this place.

For example, look at the next shot. It was taken some time after the above shot and look at the bright shining sun now which melted all the ice. Isn't it cool to see that change happening right in front of your eyes? This is so dynamic and I love it. You won't experience something like this on any other map.

The forest on this map is magical too. Some parts of it are quite dense with tall trees. You would feel like an ant when you are roaming in them. Look at how Sheru looks so small here.

We have a snow map that is always covered in thick white snow no matter what. It has its beauty and dangers. Wolf packs here are always trying to hunt you down rather than you hunting them. But it is worth the risk for views like this:

Most of the maps have hills and mountains. One of my favourite hilly maps is the Silver Ridge Peaks. The landscape is so serene in the northern part of the reserve.

There are many huge lakes in these reserves too. Most of them serve as a great place to hunt. They are animal magnets and good hunting grounds for medium to large animals.

I love to take landscape shots on this map because of how vertical it is. The layer of mountains in the background with some flowers or vegetation in the foreground along with some other interesting natural wonders like lakes, trees, forests, animals etc are my go-to shots when it comes to this map.

I have played this a lot with Beril too. This used to be our go-to map when she was a new hunter just because of how easy this map was, especially in the southern (flat) part of it. Later we switched to tougher terrain but we kept going back to it once in a while and hunted some Bisons or Pronghorns here.

Going to the northern end of the map is challenging. Some of the mountains are very tall to climb but I set up a camp on the highest mountain here so I can quickly travel there and take some amazing pictures. It is like you are above the clouds.

Now let me take you to the first map that everyone plays on when they start this game, The Layton Lake District. It is a beautiful map and has a lot of lakes and challenging vegetation. Deers can hide easily in the long reeds on the sides of the lakes.

Even Bears can easily hide in these reeds. They make this map a bit more challenging than Silver Ridge Peaks but hunting Blacktail and Whitetail deer here is so fun. Look at how this curious female wants to investigate a sound that came from a bleet caller.

It does have a mountain range but that is out of range and you cannot go there. I guess those were added just to make it visually better.

Sheru loves to wander off in these plains. A lowering water level on the river bed gave rise to a lot of lakes while the region on the north is a bit more hilly and foresty.

The weather system in the game is impressive and very dynamic. One moment it is all calm and sunny and within five minutes a storm starts building up and hits you. I would love to see some more lightning during these but for now, I am happy with the cloud cover and aggressive wind patterns. It changes the entire landscape and makes the game much more alive.

To see the full spectrum of clouds and lightning we have to either go to the Emerald Coast, Australia map or Vurongha Savvanah. The sky turns so chaotic there. Just look at this magical sunrise in the plains of the Emerald Coast. The perfect time to take pictures here is the golden hours right after sunrise and before sunset. You will get some very rich and bright colours.

This game is full of stunning landscapes. Let me know which one you like the most. For me, it is a tough choice to make.

Thanks for reading.

Until next shot...

Thank you!

The Hunter's graphics look great. On par with Red Dead Redemption 2, which is crazy in terms of landscapes. I loved the pictures in the snowy forest.

I loved the pictures in the snowy forest.

They are my favorites too. So serene and gorgeous.

The graphics in this game are seriously good looking.

This gaming photographs can be a proof to the illusion; as few scientists think whatever we see around us is just an illusion of thousands quantum possibilities. Really the pictures look very real. Our real world may be just like those visuals you shared! who knows!

Cool landscapes, they're stunning for sure. @tipu curate 8
