My new Laptop: The Lenevo Ideapad gaming 3 (AMD Version)

in IndiaUnited Old2 years ago

Recently due to online classes getting started, we have started to spend more and more time on laptops rather than going to school. And while doing everything on laptops we found ways to do things really easily just by the click of a mouse. So everyone needed a laptop in this age.

Recently I had been using my father's laptop to do online classes and other stuff, But it was getting really old and we were also realizing that it was time to change into new laptops. And so me and my father decided to buy 2 laptops for the 2 of us. Recently my father purchased a Dell inspiron, You can check out his post at https://peakd.com/@sanjeevm .

And so I started looking for a laptop that would suite to my needs. I really like doing digital art and was planning to do animations in the near future. So I thought of buying a laptop with some good graphics on it. One of the best laptop mobile gpu's right now are the GTX 1650. After alot of searching, I found this. The Lenevo Ideapad gaming 3. This one was a customizable Laptop and So I chose the specs as to my needs. My laptop came with:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 4600H
  • 16 GB of DDR4 ram
  • 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD
  • GTX 1650 4 GB GDDR5
  • 120Hz Refresh rate display

All this was purchased for 70,000 INR from official Lenevo site. As this was a customized one it took quite the time to arrive. After 3 months of waiting it finally came and now here I am typing the post on it. It came with really good packaging material and I was really pleased with its performance.

After I unpacked it, I booted it up for the first time. It took quite some while but after a while the setup was done.

I am really pleased by how well it performs and this one was a killer deal. For laptop with these specs it would come around 90,000 INR but I got mine for only 70,000. Afterall it was a great experience.

Sort:

This definitely seems a better purchase than Dell, we will not buy DELL Again.

Looks like your whole family was getting new laptops lately :D Early Christmas? :D

Covid Impact 😀

Take look into MSI gaming Laptops you will find what you want. They have amazing machines.

I did, but I have read reviews and saw Lenevo is better in the long run. Thanks for letting me know though!

MSI gf series would be better for Lenovo IMO

I checked them out, Thing is they only have 60Hz displays, Which means it cannot exceed 60 fps. And I prefer higher refresh rate. There was a MSI gf series that had the 120hz display but was the same price as the Lenevo one, except it had 8 gigs of ram instead of 16 and had a rtx 3050 (gtx 1650 is almost the same as RTX 3050, only doesn't have tensor cores for ray tracing) and I couldn't find upgradable warranty on the MSI website. So I went with Lenevo

Should have known before 😉 - looking good.
