Iniciativa: El hambre ¿Tema o Problema?

En esta oportunidad se nos ha ocurrido reflexionar sobre un asunto que, lamentablemente, hoy sigue siendo una dura realidad para millones de personas en todo el mundo: el hambre.

Los días 28 de mayo, mientras se celebra el Día Internacional de la Hamburguesa, también se celebra el día mundial del hambre, ¿Acaso es una broma? Como comunidad que reflexiona en torno a lo humano no podemos ignorar que el hambre es una lucha de muchos cada día.

Nunca se han preguntado ¿Cómo es posible que en pleno siglo XXI, con todo el conocimiento y los recursos disponibles, aún hayan personas que no tienen acceso a una alimentación adecuada? Esta es una pregunta que debemos hacernos como sociedad y como individuos comprometidos con el bienestar de nuestros semejantes, porque eso es lo que buscamos promover en la comunidad, así que es preciso reflexionar sobre esto.

Ahora bien, el hambre no es solo la ausencia de comida, también es la privación de un derecho humano fundamental. Lo que implica la negación de la dignidad humana. Socialmente es un problema sistémico que refleja las desigualdades y las injusticias de nuestro mundo.

Pero, hoy es válido preguntarnos ¿es el hambre también un problema que nosotros podemos y debemos resolver? Sin lugar a dudas tenemos los medios y el conocimiento para erradicar el hambre, de hecho, al parecer la comida que se desperdicia al año es mucho mas que suficiente para alimentar ese sector de la población mundial sin acceso al buen alimento.
¿Será que como sociedad nos falta voluntad política?

Así que sin más preámbulo les invitamos a participar en nuestra iniciativa "Hambre: ¿tema o problema?". Cómo comunidad queremos recopilar sus reflexiones, ideas y propuestas sobre cómo podemos abordar este desafío de manera efectiva. Y quizá, juntos, podemos generar más amplitud de conciencia.

A continuación dejamos algunas preguntas a modo de sugerencia y pueda servir de guía. No es obligatorio responder estás interrogantes para participar en la iniciativa:

• ¿Qué significa el hambre para ti y como crees que afecta a nivel global?

• ¿Cuáles cree que son las causas principales del hambre en el mundo? Te atreves a darnos una solución ¿Qué solución propones?

• ¿Qué acciones concretas podemos emprender como sociedad para contribuir a la erradicación del hambre?

• ¿Cómo podemos generar un cambio de paradigma en la sociedad, pasando de ver el hambre como un "tema" a reconocerlo como un problema urgente que requiere soluciones?
