My dad got to know recently I ventured into crop farming, utilizing 4 acres of land. He marveled and lauded me, saying I inherited a passion for farming from my mom. A reflection of two decades ago, my mom and I often went to the farm with hoes and cutlasses and did the much we could sequel to the efforts we could muster, and yet, like a laborer would, we had no privilege either of exposure to mechanization or the resources for it. However, recently, I got a tractor to till and plough the land, which I farmed upon, an example of a transition from the manual hand tool to the application of a machine. However, farm mechanization has greatly increased man's activities in terms of deforestation.
The crude ways of doing things are practices most of us grew up with, especially into the late twentieth century in Nigeria, and only recently have we begun to adopt mechanization as a means to relieve the burden of manual labor.

There have been different phases or stages of the industrial revolution sequel to technological advancement, with the most recent being the advent of the internet and, most recently, renewable energy.
Everyone can testify that the world is gradually becoming more viewed as a globe rather than an undefined spatial population of people. The internet has fast connected everyone to another, especially through social media. Commendable advancements are seen in almost every sphere of the economy, and the crude methods are gradually being effaced. Telemedicine is a typical example where beneficiaries do not have to be in the same space with the physician handling the case. The internet has reached the hands of a significant population of the globe through smart and digital gadgets, enabling quick and immediate communications and access to information at a snap of the finger.
Studies have revealed the unfavorable impact the climate is having on the globe through global warming, which is largely a result of mankind's activities where fossils and emissions threaten to destroy the earth's protective layers. Society, in its advancement, has begun to focus on alternative energy sources and utilization, thus gradually embracing renewable energy, which has significantly limited the dependence on household gas emissions. Electric and compressed natural gas (CNG) cars have begun to gain momentum in today's society with the intention of phasing out conventional vehicles with dangerous emissions that serve as a major contribution to global warming from Africa.
Globalization has equally exposed the world to an array of disease conditions, as humanity now largely depends on processed meals rather than foods in their natural states or freshly prepared. The industrial revolution has equally made man busier than usual, and we now pursue achievements and successes at the detriment of our health.
Thus, the advent of the Industrial Revolution in the late 19th century equally brought about a global threat as it eased life in society. Humanity thus works tirelessly to correct the consequences of industrialization, aiming to find a balance between making life easier for humanity and managing to the bearest minimum the attendant consequences of industrialization.
