La comunidad Humanitas nos invita hoy 23 de Julio a reflexionar sobre el concepto de sincretismo, un fenómeno que ha permitido la integración de diferentes tradiciones, creencias y símbolos a lo largo de la historia. Esta práctica de fusión cultural y religiosa ofrece una rica perspectiva para analizar la figura de la Virgen y la simbología de la rosa desde una perspectiva humanista y educativa... El sincretismo religioso ha jugado un papel crucial en la evolución de la figura de la Virgen María. En muchas culturas, la Virgen ha sido asimilada y reinterpretada de formas que reflejan las creencias y valores locales. Por ejemplo, en América Latina, la Virgen de Guadalupe se ha convertido en un símbolo que amalgama elementos indígenas y cristianos, representando tanto a la madre de Dios como a la madre tierra.

The Humanitas community invites us today, July 23, to reflect on the concept of syncretism, a phenomenon that has allowed the integration of different traditions, beliefs and symbols throughout history. This practice of cultural and religious fusion offers a rich perspective to analyze the figure of the Virgin and the symbology of the rose from a humanistic and educational perspective... Religious syncretism has played a crucial role in the evolution of the figure of the Virgin Maria. In many cultures, the Virgin has been assimilated and reinterpreted in ways that reflect local beliefs and values. For example, in Latin America, the Virgin of Guadalupe has become a symbol that amalgamates indigenous and Christian elements, representing both the mother of God and mother earth.

From a humanist perspective, this process of syncretism invites us to see the Virgin not only as a religious icon, but as a reflection of the human capacity to find common ground between different traditions. In the educational field, this can foster greater understanding and respect for the diverse manifestations of faith and culture, promoting an inclusive and pluralistic vision of the world.
