Walentkowa Valley in Tatras [ENG/PL]

Walentkowa Valley is a Tatra valley located in Slovakia, one of two branches of the upper part of the Cicha Valley. The Walentkowa Valley is located at an altitude of approximately 1,400–1,900 m. Its upper part (above the path to Zawory) is called Walentkowy Kamienny or simply Kamienny. From the top of Świnica, the Blaton Gully descends into it. The valley has an area of ​​1.5 km², and its bottom forms a shallow basin and is covered with scree and large rocks. Shepherds once had shelter under one of these rocks, called Valentine's Cradle. Despite its limited pastoral utility, the Walentkowa Valley was once grazed. The Walentkowa Valley is currently unavailable for tourists. In the past, a popular tourist trail from the Liliowe Pass to Zawory ran through its central part.

Dolina Walentkowa to tatrzańska dolina położona na terenie Słowacji, jedno z dwóch odgałęzień górnej części Doliny Ciche. Dolina Walentkowa położona jest na wysokości ok. 1400–1900 m. Jej górną część (powyżej ścieżki na Zawory) nazywa się Walentkowym Kamiennym lub po prostu Kamiennym. Spod wierzchołka Świnicy opada do niej Żleb Blatona. Dolina ma powierzchnię 1,5 km², a jej dno tworzy płytką nieckę i zawalone jest piargami i wielkimi skałami. Pod jedną z tych skał, nazywaną Walentkową Kolebą, mieli niegdyś schronienie pasterze. Dolina Walentkowa mimo niewielkiej użyteczności pasterskiej była kiedyś wypasana. Dolina Walentkowa jest obecnie niedostępna turystycznie. Dawniej przez jej środkową część prowadził popularny szlak turystyczny z przełęczy Liliowe na Zawory.
