📷 Shore, Waves and Foam on the Water

in Drone2 months ago

I'm always interested in looking at the coast from above — interesting angles open up. And when the coastline is not straight and even, but like this one — with bizarre winding outlines due to the rocks, this adds charm to the landscape.

And the foam patterns on the water turn out beautiful, making you look at them, right? :) They contrast with the dark water and with the brown and green shades of the shore. And the rectangles of the houses add a graphic touch to the picture.

This is the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, or more precisely, Walker Bay. The pretty town on the coast is Hermanus, South Africa, and the trail that is quite clearly visible in the photographs is the rather well-known Hermanus Cliff pass, a walking trail along the coastal cliffs with beautiful views and good chance for seeing whales in the season when they go into the bay. I was unlucky that day, it happens :) Well, at least I still have pictures of these landscapes.

It's better to watch photos in high resolution.

You truly captured something beautiful, did you use any nd filters or colour grading? Good luck on the contest.

Thank you! :)
No, I didn’t use filters (I think, most often ND filters are used for video), but I did colour grading - I develop all the raw files in Lightroom, then sometimes I further process them in Photoshop.
