Remembering one of my birthdays in 2020 [ENG/ESP]
Greetings friends of the @throwbackthursdaye community that makes us fly to the past every Thursday.
Today I bring you a memory from 2020 when my family celebrated a birthday for me, but the novelty of this celebration was that on that date we were in the midst of the covid 19 pandemic.
In the pictures you can see that there is only my wife, my daughter and the neighbor who took the picture. It was to be expected because meetings were forbidden.
I remember that before we had gone through a difficult situation where food was not available and what was consumed was the little that the businesses sold but after waiting in long lines. I think for that reason both my wife and I look quite thin.
Also on that date our dog Lucy was still alive, a mongrel that we loved very much and who passed away the following year, after sharing 18 years of life with us.
For that celebration my wife prepared a tres leches cake that is one of my favorites and that is very good for her. We invited only my closest neighbor and shared the cake with quesillo and soda.
The truth is that those pandemic dates were marked in our lives forever because it was the worst situation we have ever gone through and besides tragedies it also taught us to take care of ourselves, to live with hope and to talk more with God.

Glad you were able to celebrate that birthday. Maybe they weren't the most majestic, but since we were only the necessary people, sharing what little we could do at home meant a lot to several of us. Many lessons were learned from that pandemic, I hope we are prepared in case God allows another similar event (but I hope not) 😅
Thanks for being part of #tbt Thursdays my brother! 🙏

Those were very dark days that hopefully will never be repeated. I think we have learned a lot from these types of situations. Thank you @jesuslnrs for your visit and comment
