Travelling is not just about the adventure, it’s about discovering new places and hidden gems, savoring local dishes, and lastly the memories who you spent it with.

Howdy, folks! As we leave the holiday season behind, let’s dive into an unforgettable adventure last year exploring new places, cultures, and experiences.
Are you ready to join the journey? Let’s go!

Last October, we attended a seminar organized by the Philippine Association of Local Government Associations (PHALGA). The event took place in the city of smiles ”Bacolod City, Negros Occidental".

Our trip was a bit tiring as we had to travel by van, then by boat, and back to the van again. To save time we rented a van for three days, which made the journey more convenient. We were also accompanied by other Barangay Officials and Sk Officials from Caduawan, Ilihan, Somosa, Salag making the trip more enjoyable.

Four hours had passed and we arrived in Bacolod. Through our rented van it makes the travel more hustle free. We arrived on our booked accomodations and decided to rest early because the seminar will start at 8 o'clock in the morning.

On our first day, we attended the event. The seminar lasted until the evening, and after it ended, we decided to head straight to our booked accommodations to get some much-needed rest. Although the event was scheduled for three days, we stayed there for one week to enjoy a short vacation during our stay.

On the fourth day, we decided to visit Campuestohan Highlands Resort, as some of the barangay officials insisted on going there because of its well known fun activities along with its serenity views.

On our way to Campuestohan we found an eye catching place (THE RUINS). The green and beautiful scenery makes our heart filled with excitement, our minds telling us to stop by and have a nice relaxation at the place. So, we stopped by and paid their entrance fee.

We spent few hours roaming around. Eyes left awed by this old paintings and furnitures. It was old yet it wasn't dusty. There were also lots of tourists visiting as well that makes the place more livelier and attractive.

Negros Occidental was famous by its sugarcane farms. So, It's a big disappointment if we won't have a taste of their famous fresh sugarcane juice. I ordered two fresh juice one is for me and the other is for my mother.

Several hours later after roaming and snapping some photos for memories to keep we decided to set off to our next destination.

That's all for now! But there's more to talk about. Stay tuned for the next part, where we'll explore even more about the Campuestohan Highlands Resort.

@storuberewrites thank you and thanks for dropping by🩷

I totally agree, traveling is about living new experiences, tasting new flavors, cultivating memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.
These ruins have a lot of interesting history to tell.
Remembering is living again.

I wish to be back there soon, it was an amazing place 🥺🩷

It's a beautiful day at the Ruins in Negros. The scenery and the environment is truly magical!

It might be called the ruins, but it is undeniably well-preserved and timelessly beautiful, even though decades or centuries have already passed.

Fresh sugarcane juice sounds like a must-try😍

I also love traveling dear because it helps me to discover new places and learn new things.
Thanks for sharing
