Es mi cumpleaños número cuarenta, es una edad significativa e importante… el cuarto piso le llaman, y la verdad siempre suelo hacer cosas especiales en cada uno de mis cumpleaños.

22 un preámbulo con mucho rock

Debo decir que este cumpleaños ha sido irregular y sorprendente, yo cumplo el 24 de abril y resulta que para el día 22 ya tenía pautada una fecha de concierto en la ciudad de Barcelona con mi proyecto solista Enhok.

Total que entre ensayos y la preparación para el concierto no me dio chance a pensar ningún escenario posible o actividad específica para celebrar mi cumpleaños, así que por prioridad el concierto ocupó mucho de mi mente.

Llegó la noche del concierto y me lo tomé como una especie de preámbulo a mi cumpleaños, con mucho rock y pasándolo bien entre amigos, cosa que me ayudó a relajarme y dejar que el espectáculo fluyera.

Al terminar el concierto me encontré con varios amigos de mi ciudad Cumaná, músicos de extraordinario talento y grandes amigos. Me alegro mucho poder compartir con caras conocidas después de migrar a España, consideró una gran suerte reencontrarse con gente buena y conocida.

23, recuperar fuerzas.

Al día siguiente amanecí con dolores em todo el cuerpo 🤣.
Al parecer lo deje todo en la tarima, pero de forma literal, deje mucho.

Pero valió la pena, además de la experiencia en el escenario tuve que recorrer varias cuadras además del viaje en tren con una maleta y un bolso a mis espaldas, ambos llenos de equipos, pedales de efectos, laptop, cables entre otras cosas que eran vitales para el show y eso también fue un esfuerzo que me dejó esas agujetas en todo el cuerpo.

Así que descanse lo más posible el día 23, y fue tal el agotamiento que consideré pasar el día de mi cumpleaños de la misma manera, descansando, jugando pinball, deseando una hamaca y nada que hacer.

24 El gran día, sorpresa tras sorpresa.

Tan pronto como dieron las 12 recibo la primera gran sorpresa por parte de mi esposa. Y es que recibo mi primer regalo que considero un regalazo que me alegra muchísimo pues le daré mucho uso. Y es que mi esposa decidió regalarme una guitarra eléctrica que tenía muchísimas ganas de comprar desde hace tiempo.

Despierto por la mañana y el día transcurre entre felicitaciones cercanas, esperadas e inesperadas por las redes sociales pero dentro de todo super esperado, tranquilidad en familia, no esperaba nada más que una torta para cantar cumpleaños.

De pronto mi hermana que vino a visitarme desde Malta me pidió salir porque ella quería comprar churros en un puesto de churros muy famoso del pueblo.

Resulta que el puesto de churros estaba cerrado y nos pusimos a caminar por todo el pueblo a buscar donde vendieran churros pero no encontramos ningún lugar así que decidimos quedarnos en un café a conversar y disfrutar de unos cupcakes.

Sorpresa!

Al terminar una amena conversación acompañada de un café volvimos a la casa y me encontré con la sorpresa de que la sala estaba decorada con la temática retro.

Me pareció brutal la creatividad de mi esposa, los colgantes de "Videorama Stereo" y "Blansic video, que buen video" están muy brutales y me traen gratos recuerdos de cuando veía películas en VHS, una decoración super original que van perfecto con mi arcade y mi virtual pinball.

Además par de compadres Francisco y Johan compartieron conmigo y la pasamos muy bien en esta fiesta temática retro.

Pues feliz y agotado estoy listo para dormir y seguir dando pasos a mis cuarenta años.

It's my fortieth birthday, it's a significant and important age... the fourth floor they call it, and the truth is I always do special things for each of my birthdays.

22 a preamble with a lot of rock

I must say that this birthday has been irregular and surprising, I turn April 24 and it turns out that for the 22nd I had already scheduled a concert date in the city of Barcelona with my solo project Enhok.

So between rehearsals and the preparation for the concert I didn't have a chance to think of any possible scenario or specific activity to celebrate my birthday, so as a priority the concert occupied a lot of my mind.

The night of the concert arrived and I took it as a kind of preamble to my birthday, with a lot of rock and having fun with friends, which helped me to relax and let the show flow.

At the end of the concert I met several friends from my city Cumaná, musicians of extraordinary talent and great friends. I am very happy to be able to share with familiar faces after migrating to Spain, it was considered a great luck to meet again with good and familiar people.

23, regain strength.

The next day I woke up with pains all over my body 🤣.
Apparently I left everything on the stage, but literally, I left a lot.

But it was worth it, in addition to the experience on stage I had to walk several blocks plus the train ride with a suitcase and a bag on my back, both full of equipment, effects pedals, laptop, cables and other things that were vital for the show and that was also an effort that left me those stiffness throughout the body.

So I rested as much as possible on the 23rd, and such was the exhaustion that I considered spending my birthday the same way, resting, playing pinball, wishing for a hammock and nothing to do.

24 The big day, surprise after surprise.

As soon as it was 12 o'clock I receive the first big surprise from my wife. I receive my first gift, which I consider a great gift that I am very happy because I will use it a lot. My wife decided to give me an electric guitar that I had been wanting to buy for a long time.

I wake up in the morning and the day passes between close congratulations, expected and unexpected by social networks but within all super expected, tranquility in family, I did not expect anything more than a cake to sing birthday.

Suddenly my sister who came to visit me from Malta asked me out because she wanted to buy churros at a very famous churro stand in town.

It turned out that the churro stand was closed and we started walking around town looking for a place where they sold churros but we couldn't find any place so we decided to stay in a cafe to chat and enjoy some cupcakes.

Surprise!

After a nice conversation and a cup of coffee we went back to the house and I was surprised to find that the living room was decorated with a retro theme.

I found my wife's creativity brutal, the "Videorama Stereo" and "Blansic video, what a good video" pendants are very brutal and bring back fond memories of when I watched movies on VHS, a super original decoration that go perfect with my arcade and my virtual pinball.

Also a couple of compadres Francisco and Johan shared with me and we had a great time in this retro themed party.

Well, happy and exhausted I'm ready to sleep and keep on walking in my forties.
