El evento Convinarte fue una gran aventura de principio a fin, principalmente por la búsqueda de las copas donde serviríamos el vino.
Debíamos comprar al menos 30 copas para todos los participantes e invitados, y para nosotros mismos también. Y la idea era encontrar unas a bajo costo debido a la gran cantidad.
Estábamos en la ciudad de Maracaibo para comprar esto y algunos de lo materiales que nos faltaban. Luego de dar varias vueltas por el centro de la ciudad y no encontrar nada que se adaptara a lo que buscábamos, decidimos tomar un transporte e ir a la tienda Mango Bajito, donde venden infinidad de artículos, principalmente para el hogar.

The Convinarte event was a great adventure from start to finish, mainly because of the search for the glasses where we would serve the wine.
We had to buy at least 30 glasses for all the participants and guests, and for ourselves as well. And the idea was to find some at low cost due to the large quantity.
We were in the city of Maracaibo to buy this and some of the materials we were missing. After walking around downtown and not finding anything that fit what we were looking for, we decided to take a transport and go to the store Mango Bajito, where they sell a lot of items, mainly for the home.
Luego de hacer un viaje de unos 25 minutos en el transporte público, llegamos a la tienda Mango Bajito. Tenía muchísimos años que no la visitaba y aunque sabía donde quedaba, me tocó quedarme viendo el camino por la ventana para no perderme porque muchas cosas habían cambiado a los alrededores de la tienda.
After a 25 minute ride on public transportation, we arrived at the Mango Bajito store. It had been many years since I had visited it and although I knew where it was, I had to keep watching the road through the window so as not to get lost because many things had changed around the store.
Esta tienda es enorme y tiene 3 pisos repletos de mercancía. Hay de todo lo que se les ocurra. Habían paredes llenas de tazas para las bebidas calientes.
No teníamos ni idea de por donde comenzar, pero luego de preguntarle a algunos de los empleados encontramos el pasillo donde estaban las copas y vasos de vidrio.
Es imposible no desviar la mirada a ver otras cosas porque hay mucho para ver y provoca llevarlo todo.
This store is huge and has 3 floors full of merchandise. There is everything you can think of. There were walls full of cups for hot drinks.
We had no idea where to start, but after asking some of the employees we found the aisle where the cups and glasses were.
It is impossible not to take your eyes off other things because there is so much to see and it makes you want to take it all in.
Entre las cosas que vi que llamaron mi atención fueron unas alfombras SÚPER suavecitas en forma de oso. De verdad me daría lastima ponerla en el suelo jajaja
También habían unos vasos con forma de bombillos y adentro tenían un pitillo. ¡Eran geniales!, espero a la próxima traer uno conmigo. ♥
Among the things I saw that caught my attention were some SUPER soft rugs in the shape of a bear. I would really hate to put it on the floor hahaha.
There were also some glasses in the shape of light bulbs and inside they had a straw, they were great, I hope to bring one with me next time. ♥
En cuanto a las copas habían muchos tipos, aunque no encontramos unas con la forma y el valor que esperábamos. Nuestro presupuesto era bajo a decir verdad y queríamos encontrar la forma lo más parecida posible.
As for the glasses there were many types, although we did not find ones with the shape and value we were hoping for. Our budget was low to tell the truth and we wanted to find the shape as close as possible.
En el último piso se encontraba el área de repostería. Habían muchísimas cosas y me picaban las manos por ponerme a revisar que encontraba que me sirviera de utilidad para mi emprendimiento.
Pero nos comenzamos a quedar sin tiempo, debíamos tomar el transporte, pasar otra media hora ahí y luego volver a nuestra ciudad que eran unas 2 horas de trayecto. Aún no teníamos las copas que queríamos y eso nos tenía preocupadas.
On the top floor was the baking area. There were a lot of things and my hands were itching to check what I could find that would be useful for my project.
But we started to run out of time, we had to take the shuttle, spend another half hour there and then go back to our city, which was about 2 hours away. We still didn't have the drinks we wanted and that had us worried.
Por fin teníamos 3 opciones bien marcadas. Pedimos ayuda vía telefónica a nuestros familiares y nos decidimos por un vaso de vidrio pequeño que aunque no era una copa, se adaptaba a nuestro presupuesto y tenía una forma similar a la de una copa.
Finally we had 3 options well marked. We asked for help via phone to our relatives and we decided on a small glass tumbler that although it was not a cup, it fit our budget and had a shape similar to a glass.
Cuando ya la chica estaba por sacar los vasos, nos encontramos estas copas. Nos hizo dudar completamente de nuestra decisión porque los vasos costaban 1.23$ cada uno y estas copas estaban 2 x 1.47$.
No nos gustaba la forma que tenían pero si el precio. Luego de meditar y dudar, nos decidimos por esas. Compramos las 30 copas en 22$. Tuvimos un ahorro de 14$, un monto importante para el presupuesto que manejábamos.
When the girl was about to take out the glasses, we found these glasses. She made us completely doubt our decision because the glasses were $1.23 each and these glasses were 2 x $1.47.
We didn't like the shape they were in but we did like the price. After pondering and hesitating, we decided on those. We bought the 30 cups for $22. We had a savings of $14, a significant amount for the budget we were on.
Aproveché de comprar un pequeño set de esponjas para maquillaje y ya luego tomamos el transporte de regreso. Fue un viaje fructífero y a pesar de que compramos algo que no fue del todo lo que queríamos, salimos de ese pendiente y podíamos continuar avanzando en lo que faltaba.
Con estas vistas terminó nuestro viaje de regreso al centro. ♥
I took the opportunity to buy a small set of makeup sponges and then we took the transport back. It was a fruitful trip and even though we bought something that was not quite what we wanted, we got out of that pending and we could continue moving forward in what was left.
With these sights ended our trip back to the center. ♥
