¡Hola Chicos!
Como les estuve comentando en post anteriores, tendremos una segunda edición de nuestro evento Convinarte. En esta ocasión quisimos probar algo distinto, aliarnos con un restaurant para que nos prestaran sus instalaciones para llevarlo a cabo y que resultara una experiencia diferente para las personas que asistan.
Al mismo tiempo librarnos un poco de tener que estar preparando la parte de las degustaciones y así poder ofrecer un menú más variado y completo. Tocamos algunas puertas y al no recibir respuesta, seguimos con otras.
Nos respondieron de un restaurant llamado "La Terraza", que queda en la ciudad de Cabimas. Yo no había ido antes, pero si había escuchado en varias ocasiones su nombre. Pautamos ellos una cita, esto fue ya hace 10 días.
La idea era acordar una fecha para los últimos días del mes. A mi parecer era muy pronto debido a que estábamos casi a mitad de mes, lo que nos daría poco tiempo de trabajarlo y promocionarlo, pero me dejé llevar por la idea de mi compañera de que no debíamos esperar que pasara tanto tiempo para que las personas no perdieran el interés.

As I was telling you in previous posts, we will have a second edition of our Convinarte event. This time we wanted to try something different, allying with a restaurant to lend us their facilities to carry it out and that it would be a different experience for the people who attend.
At the same time, we wanted to free ourselves from having to prepare the tasting part of the event and thus be able to offer a more varied and complete menu. We knocked on some doors and when we didn't receive an answer, we went on to others.
We got an answer from a restaurant called "La Terraza", located in the city of Cabimas. I had not been there before, but I had heard its name several times. We made an appointment with them, this was 10 days ago.
The idea was to arrange a date for the last days of the month. In my opinion it was too soon because we were almost in the middle of the month, which would give us little time to work on it and promote it, but I got carried away by my partner's idea that we should not wait for so much time to pass so that people would not lose interest.
Antes de ir a la cita, me preparé con algunos puntos en mi cuaderno, para llegarle al encargado del restaurant con ideas y así garantizar un dialogo más fluido.
Al llegar mi compañera ya me estaba esperando para entrar.
Before going to the appointment, I prepared myself with some points in my notebook, to come up with ideas to the restaurant manager and thus ensure a more fluid dialogue.
When I arrived, my companion was already waiting for me to enter.
En la entrada del restaurant hay una gran escalera que nos lleva al piso superior, donde se encuentra la terraza, de ahí su nombre.
Es un sitio bien lindo e iluminado, bastante fresco para el clima tan caluroso que tenemos últimamente en la ciudad.
At the entrance of the restaurant there is a large staircase that leads to the upper floor, where the terrace is located, hence its name.
It is a nice and well-lit place, quite cool for the hot weather we have been having lately in the city.
Al lado izquierdo cuentan con un área para fotos, donde está un letrero con luces led, que en ese momento se encontraba apagado, también vegetación artificial y un par de columpios.
El área de la terraza estaba desmontada, por lo que me dio a entender que durante el día se encuentra deshabilitada.
A pesar de eso, me pareció que era un lugar bastante agradable.

In spite of that, I thought it was quite a nice place.
Como no vimos a nadie en la parte de afuera, notamos que había una puerta que daba para el interior de un salón. En este habían personas sentadas en mesas, por lo que entendimos que era otra área del restaurant.
Un mesero nos recibió y nos ofreció agua. Yo no dudé ni un segundo en tomarla toda, el clima afuera estaba bastante fuerte.
As we did not see anyone outside, we noticed that there was a door leading to the inside of a lounge. There were people sitting at tables in this room, so we understood that it was another area of the restaurant.
A waiter greeted us and offered us water. I didn't hesitate for a second to drink it all, the weather outside was quite hot.
El sitio es bastante lindo, le entra mucha luz natural por lo que lo hace un sitio acogedor. Había un buen aire acondicionado y se veía genial para ir a pasar el rato y comer tranquilamente.
Es cuando entendí que durante el día atendían de esta forma, para aliviar al público de tanto calor del exterior.
The place is quite nice, with lots of natural light coming in, making it a cozy place. There was a good air conditioning and it looked great to hang out and eat quietly.
That's when I understood that during the day they served in this way, to relieve the public of so much heat from outside.
Es por fin cuando llega el encargado del restaurant, se nos acerca y comenzamos a exponerle nuestra idea.
Como yo me fui preparada en cuanto al menú, las ideas para ofrecer, fui quien más hablé en esa ocasión.
Esto también le sirvió a mi compañera para tomar como ejemplo y así saber que decir en la siguiente cita, que sería en otro restaurant una hora después.
Acordamos servir cocteles, algo diferente a lo que ofrecimos en la primera edición que fue únicamente vino. También serviremos pizzas, tequeños y por nuestra parte, algunos postres.
La receptividad en cuanto a la actividad fue buena, aunque no hubo mucho flexibilidad en cuanto a los horarios y el espacio donde queríamos realizar la actividad.
Nuestro plan era hacerlo en el exterior, pero el encargado nos sugirió insistentemente que lo hiciéramos en horas de la tarde, en esa misma área donde nos reunimos.
Finally, when the restaurant manager arrived, he approached us and we began to explain our idea.
As I was prepared in terms of the menu, the ideas to offer, I was the one who spoke the most on that occasion.
This also served as an example for my partner to take as an example so she would know what to say on the next date, which would be in another restaurant an hour later.
We agreed to serve cocktails, something different from what we offered in the first edition, which was only wine. We will also serve pizzas, tequeños and for our part, some desserts.
The receptivity regarding the activity was good, although there was not much flexibility in terms of schedules and the space where we wanted to carry out the activity.
Our plan was to do it outside, but the manager insistently suggested that we do it in the afternoon, in the same area where we met.
En cuanto la fecha, se pautó el día 26 de abril, es decir, dentro de 4 días. Como lo temía si, fue muy poco el tiempo para organizar todo, principalmente por los fondos que aún no se han recaudado.
Pero aún quedan muchas horas para que se de el evento y aún pueden ocurrir muchas cosas. Por los momentos estamos a la espera, con los mejores ánimos.
Antes de irnos me tomé algunas fotos para el recuerdo, estas se las compartiré en otro post. En general nos fue muy bien, logramos que aceptaran nuestra propuesta, con ciertas condiciones pero al final no estamos pagando por el espacio y ambas partes se verán beneficiadas.
As for the date, it was set for April 26th, that is, in 4 days. As I feared, yes, it was too little time to organize everything, mainly because of the funds that have not yet been raised.
But there are still many hours left for the event to take place and many things can still happen. For the moment we are waiting, with the best of spirits.
Before we left I took some pictures for the memory, I will share them in another post. In general it went very well, we managed to get them to accept our proposal, with certain conditions but in the end we are not paying for the space and both parties will benefit.
Lo que si tengo muy claro es que de todas las experiencias, sean buenas o malas se aprende, y si llegamos a fallar en este intento podremos volverlo a intentar.
Es cuando más me siento identificada con la frase que tienen en la entrada del restaurant que dice "Si el plan no funciona, cambia el plan, pero no cambies la meta".
Siempre debemos tener trazada la meta que queremos lograr, y si no nos sale bien, cambiamos las estrategias pero seguimos luchando por un mismo sueño. ♥

Me encanta los exteriores de la terraza, aunque seguro se lo pasar en el aire acondicionado jeje. También me gusta llevar todo apuntando para no perder el foco de las reuniones🧐 deseo les vaya genial en el evento.
