For this day, I chose another design to color from the book as seen from this post. There are a lot of complicated designs and I wanted something more simple for this color's exercise.

I wanted to use teal colors since @acidyo's Copics have a wide selection of cool blues and greens. I also wanted to practice my color application skills and combination skills so I chose a design that would allow me to easily do that. This one has one big subject in the middle and three birds that I could use both for the main and supplementary colors.

I chose a lavender and purple color for the flower vinyl so it works well with the teal.

There wasn't a big selection of colors for the lavender that works well with this one so I had to experiment which one works with each other and how I would blend them. The good thing about Copic is that you can layer the colors and you can still somehow see what's underneath unlike other markers where it's hard to do it.

For the birds, I started with the lightest color since I think that would be the best way because of the bird's feathers. I usually go from dark to light but for this one I figured might be easier to do the other way around.

After adding those teal colors, I thought they look flat. I was imagining a peacock color. :D

I added greens at the end of the wings.

Then I added a cool blue on top of the teal colors so it would have a nice blended peacock color. :D

For the other colors, I chose yellow and orange since it is a complementary color of purple and blue.

And here's the final look:

The birds turned out so well, I really like the color combo. :D And the orange and yellow I think were a good choice.

The green leaves were a combination of warm green (like swamp) and a cool teal to make the green cool tone since it would not fit if it's warm.
It's a pretty cool exercise and I can practice my color knowledge without having to worry about the drawing. :D
This is Beautiful
That looks so therapeutic😄 How long do you typically finish one drawing like this?
It is, very. I finished this maybe 2 or 3 hours. And I also do this while I step away from gadgets and internet to refresh my mind. :D
Oh my days, it’s so lovely🥹🥹 I love it so much, especially what you did with the birds; it looks so real, almost like you can feel their skin.
I’ve been wanting to get a colouring book to help reduce my screen time but I only see children's colouring books here.
You did an amazing job🥳
Thank you! Yeah it also was not easy to find and there were only a few couple of different coloring books for adults at the time. Maybe you can try the internet to find?
This is really so beautiful.. wow ..
I love the uniqueness... The concept of the painting is magnificent 😍
It is definitely an awesome book. The drawings are realy lovely and motivating :D
Thank you!
You are welcome 🤗
The drawing is incredible, the color of the birds is amazing, I can barely draw circles, you have so much talent
Wow!! @hiddenblade, the truth is they look super original and professional on you. You know, I draw sometimes and share it, but when it comes to doing some shading, I have a little trouble.
It looks super beautiful, my friend. Greetings and happy Sunday to you!! 🫶🤗😉
This is beautiful 🤩❤️
