A motorcycle ride to the countryside - Visit my family. // Un paseo en moto al campo - Visita a mi familia.

Hey friends, I think I have mentioned several times that one of my passions is to travel by motorcycle to small towns, waterfalls, forests, the countryside and any place that can be accessed, either alone or with my friends. Probably many of you share this passion, even in my stay in Colombia I traveled to many places this way.
A week ago I went to visit the countryside, because I had to collect pineapple flowers, something really curious because I had never seen the pineapple flower, only the fruit (which in my university have told us about it, it is an aggregate fruit), besides the pineapple flowers I had to collect other flowers of different family, euphorbiaceae, asteraceae and solanaceae.

Hey amigos que tal están?, creo que he mencionado varias veces que una de mis pasiones es viajar en motocicleta hacia pueblitos, cascadas, bosques, al campo y todo lugar al que se pueda acceder, sea solo o con mis amigos. Probablemente muchos compartan esta pasión, incluso en mi estadía en Colombia viaje a muchos lugares de esta forma.
Hace una semana fui de visita al campo, por que debía recolectar flores de piña, algo realmente curioso por que jamás había visto la flor de piña, solo el fruto (que en mi universidad nos han hablado sobre ella, es un fruto agregado), además de las flores de piña debía recolectar otras flores de distintas familiar, euphorbiaceae, asteraceae y solanaceae.

As the trip is extremely long, 62km which is equivalent to about 1h and 20min by motorcycle because it is climbing a mountain and the road is in bad condition I had to take advantage and visit my family after so long, since the last time I went was probably 11 months, here I leave the post.

Como el viaje es sumamente largo, son 62km lo cual equivale como a 1h y 20min en motocicleta ya que es subir una montaña y la carretera esta en mal estado debía aprovechar y visitar a mi familia luego de tanto tiempo, ya que la ultima vez que fui fue probablemente 11 meses, por aquí les dejo el post.

From my house the departure time was at about 8am, since it is rainy season and I said that if it was sunrise without clouds that seemed to bring rain I would go, so I waited for the right weather and decided to get going at that time. Being an early Saturday there was not much traffic and I estimated to arrive before 9:30am.
A police checkpoint stopped me on the way, asked me for my documentation and nothing else, I kept going towards my destination still at a good time.

Desde mi casa la hora de partida fue a las 8am aproximadamente, ya que es temporada de lluvias y dije que si amanecía sin nubes que parecieran traer lluvia me iría, así que espere el tiempo adecuado y decidí ponerme en marcha a esa hora. Al ser un sábado temprano tampoco había mucho trafico y estime llegar antes de las 9:30am.
Un reten policial me detuvo en el camino, me pidió mi documentación y nada mas, seguí adelante hacia mi destino todavía a buena hora.

My big headache started when I was close to my destination, for reasons that I still don't know the central axle of the motorcycle broke right at the support. For a moment I lost control and I got scared, I stopped and called home, but to bring me a spare part from home was complicated. A man who lived in the area and was passing by stopped to help me and told me that I could get to the nearest town (Bobare), without running too much, it was a little more than 2km away and he explained to me where to find the spare part, and so I went to the site. When I arrived by chance the owner of the spare parts store knew my family, he attended me very well and called a mechanic to change the part, I was there for 30 minutes, and in a couple more minutes everything was solved.
I said goodbye to the man and sent greetings to my family.

Mi gran dolor de cabeza comenzó al estar cerca de mi destino, por motivos que aun no conozco el eje central de la motocicleta se rompió justo en el soporte. Por un momento perdí el control y me asuste, me detuve y llame a mi casa, pero para que me trajeran un repuesto desde mi casa estaba complicado. Un señor que vivía en la zona e iba pasando se detuvo a auxiliarme y me dijo que podía llegar hacia el pueblo mas cercano (Bobare), sin correr mucho, estaba a un poco mas de 2km y me explico donde ubicar el repuesto, y así me fui hasta el sitio. Al llegar por mucha casualidad del destino el dueño de la venta de repuestos conocía a mi familia, me atendió muy bien y llamo a un mecánico para que cambiara la pieza, allí estuve 30 min, y en un par mas de minutos ya estaba todo resuelto.
Me despedí del señor y le mando saludos a mis familiares.

I continued my way, until the point where the asphalt road ends and begins only the dirt road, of course as it had rained it was wet there I could not record or take pictures, because in previous years this part of the road was dangerous and used to rob those who passed through here. So I decided to accelerate until I was at the top of the mountain to make a stop and take some pictures before continuing to the village.
On the way I took longer than expected, because the road was in terrible conditions and there was stagnant water in several parts where I had to pass carefully, besides it was very slippery.

Continúe mi camino, hasta el punto en el que la carretera de asfalto se termina y comienza solo la carretera de tierra, por su puesto como había llovido estaba mojado allí no pude grabar ni tomar fotos, por que en años anteriores esta parte de la carretera era peligrosa y solían robar a los que pasaban por aquí. Por lo cual decidí acelerar a fondo hasta estar en lo alto de la montaña para hacer una parada y allí si tomar algunas fotos antes de seguir al pueblito.
En el camino me tarde mas de lo esperado, pues la carretera estaba en pésimas condiciones y habían agua estancada en varias partes donde debía pasar con cuidado, además que estaba muy resbalosa.

I arrived very late and more than expected, I did not have time to visit all my family but I managed to see some cousins, godchildren, aunts and had lunch with them, I also took advantage of this to finish repairing the motorcycle and make some adjustments to go get the flowers I needed and return home early, because I was on the road all day.

Llegue muy tarde y mas de lo esperado, no tuve tiempo de visitar a toda mi familia pero si logre ver a algunos primos, ahijados, tías y almorcé con ellos, aproveche además de esto de terminar de reparar la motocicleta y hacerle algunos ajustes para ir a buscar las flores que necesitaba y regresar temprano a casa, pues estuve todo el día en carretera.

We went to the mountain and I thought I could not find what I was looking for because the road to there was also very bad, the rains prevent the passage, but as he could my cousin took me to the nearest place, there I collected everything I needed and walked for a while by the crop. I also noticed that they had burned part of the land to plant new pineapple trees and I hope to be present at that planting because I want to implement with them the methods I learned at the university.

Fuimos a la montaña y pensé que no podía encontrar lo que iba a buscar por que también la carretera hacia allá estaba muy mala, las lluvias impiden el paso, pero como pudo mi primo me llevo hasta el lugar mas cercano, allí recolecte todo lo que necesitaba y camine un rato por el cultivo. Me di cuenta también que habían quemado un parte de la tierra para sembrar nuevos ejemplares de piña y espero estar presente en esa siembra pues quiero implementar con ellos los métodos que aprendí en la universidad.

When I got back I stayed talking with my family about my trip to Colombia, what I learned and visited there and we were talking about the university, at that moment I started to hear thunder and I said here I stayed, because if it started to rain I could not leave. When I saw the dark sky I took my things and I left as fast as possible, I think I unadjusted the bike since that day, but I was running so fast that I think I went down the mountain in 20min or less and it took me 40min to climb it, I was literally going over rocks and holes.
When I got to the point where my initial stop was I saw the storm in Bobare and I imagined that in my city it would be the same, even so I went as fast as possible, but I had to wait in an abandoned house for the rain to stop a little to be able to go on.

Al regresar me quede hablando con mi familia sobre mi viaje a Colombia, lo que aprendí y visite por allá y estuvimos conversando sobre la universidad, en ese momento comencé a escuchar truenos y dije aquí me quede, por que si comenzaba a llover no podría salir. Cuando vi el cielo oscuro tome mis cosas y me fui lo mas rápido posible, creo que desajuste la moto desde ese día, pero iba corriendo tanto que creo que baje la montaña en 20min o menos y me tomo 40min subirla, literalmente pasaba por encima de las piedras y huecos.
Cuando llegue al punto donde fue mi parada inicial vi la tormenta en Bobare y me imagine que en mi cuidad estaría igual, aun así me fui lo mas rápido posible, pero tuve que esperar en una casa abandonada que la lluvia parara un poco para poder seguir.

The rain stopped a little, but from here I kept my phone and all the way home was heavy rain, I arrived super wet at 8 pm, I passed through other towns and there was no light, everything was in darkness on the asphalt road I fell taking a curve, obviously because of the wet, it was a complete odyssey and an unforgettable but fun trip, part of life as a motorcyclist.

La lluvia paro un poco, pero desde aquí guarde mi teléfono y todo el camino a mi casa fue lluvia intensa, llegue super mojado a las 8 de la noche, pase por otros pueblos y no había luz, todo estaba en tinieblas en la carretera de asfalto me caí tomando una curva, obviamente por lo mojado, fue una completa odisea y un viaje inolvidable pero divertido, parte de la vida de motociclista.
