After taking 8 subjects (actually there were 9 but I had to withdraw one of them), finally the current semester is officially over and I am enrolled in the next one for the period January-May 2024 and the truth was really difficult and complicated, since I was seeing subjects of higher semesters, 8th for example and others of the 6th, this opened the doors enormously since next semester I can start Research Methodology, which would be the first part of my thesis.
Of course, the difficult part was to alternate subjects from lower semesters with other higher ones, since people in the 8th semester are about to graduate and have knowledge that I have not yet seen in other subjects, so I had to study twice as much.
Después de estar cursando 8 materias (en realidad eran 9 pero tuve que retirar una de ellas), por fin oficialmente se termino el semestre en curso y estoy inscrito en el siguiente para el periodo Enero-Mayo 2024 y la verdad fue realmente difícil y complicado, ya que estaba viendo materias de semestres superiores, 8vo por ejemplo y otras del 6to, esto me abrió las puertas enormemente ya que el próximo semestre puedo comenzar Metodología de La Investigación, que vendría siendo la primera parte de mi tesis.
Por su puesto lo difícil era alternar materias de semestres bajos con otras superiores, ya que las personas del 8vo están a punto de graduarse y llevan conocimientos que yo aun no he visto en otras materias, asi que tuve que estudiar el doble.
I passed everything, not with an excellent average like last year, but the truth is that I feel happy because it is a feat that few do and manage to complete.
Aprobé todo, no con un excelente promedio como el año pasado, pero la verdad me siento feliz por que es una hazaña que pocos hacen y logran completar.
My subject with the highest grade was entomology, it was really difficult to learn all the orders seen, lepidoptera, orthoptera, hymenoptera, diptera, thysanoptera, and I stop counting, I think in total we had to learn more than 150 families with everything and characteristics, and honestly I remember more than half, so for field practice effect I think I'll be fine.
Although sincerely we focus more on what is necessary for our future, the insects of importance in agriculture, whether pests or biological controllers, of course the next subject is Economic Entomology, which is based on how to control pests and the amount of chemicals that we really need.
Mi materia con mayor nota fue entomología, fue realmente difícil aprenderme todos los ordenes vistos, lepidoptera, ortoptera, hymenoptera, diptera, thysanoptera, y paro de contar, creo que en total tuvimos que aprendernos mas de 150 familias con todo y características, y sinceramente recuerdo mas de la mitad, así que para efecto practicas de campo creo que estaré bien.
Aunque sinceramente nos enfocamos mas en lo necesario para nuestro futuro, los insectos de importancia e la agricultura, ya sean plagas o controladores biológicos, por su puesto la siguiente materia es Entomología Económica, que se basa en como controlar plagas y la cantidad de químicos que realmente necesitamos.

I also did very well in botany, I had already mentioned that I had to learn the general characteristics of several species, dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous, besides that I had to make cuts and see their internal structures, organs and other things, it was very interesting, for example I had never seen a pineapple flower, until we made a cut and saw what it looked like.
We also made a herbarium, taking plants at random, to capture their characteristics and with a botanical key to find the family.
En la materia de botánica también me fue muy bien, de igual manera ya había mencionado que era aprender características generales de varias especies, dicotiledoneas y monocotiledoneas, ademas de eso hacer cortes y ver sus estructuras internas, órganos y demás cosas, fue muy interesante la verdad, por ejemplo yo jamas había visto una flor de piña, hasta que hicimos un corte y vimos como era.
De igual manera hicimos un herbario, tomando plantas al azar, para plasmar sus características y con una clave botánica encontrar la familia.
And I can not leave aside topography, which was the most difficult of the semester, only 4 people of the 14 who were taking the course passed, it was not my best grade but I am happy to have passed it with my study group. Similarly other subjects that were easier, such as introduction to agriculture, agricultural economics, which absorbed me a lot of time but it was a great learning experience.
Y no puedo dejar a un lado topografía, que fue lo mas difícil del semestre, solo aprobamos 4 personas de las 14 que estaban cursando la materia, no fue mi mejor nota pero estoy feliz de haberla aprobado con mi grupo de estudio. De igual manera otras materias que fueron mas fáciles, como introducción a la agricultura, economía agrícola, las cuales me absorbieron mucho tiempo pero fue de gran aprendizaje.
Our field trip was to "la pantalla" a farm in another state and it was to see a small cocoa and coffee plantation, and to clear our minds for the end of the semester. It was all amazing really.
Nuestro viaje de campo fue a la pantalla una finca en otro estado y fue para ver una pequeña plantación de cacao y café, y para despejar la mente por la finalizacion del semestre. Todo fue increíble la verdad.
Honestly I am scared for the next semester, basically I skipped half a semester and now I will be able to see thesis, that scares me a little, I didn't think I would get so far so fast, and of course I will be able to see other higher subjects, like forage (pasture production for cattle), it is in the 9th semester, I will probably see crops I (Horticulture or fruit production I don't know yet). Something good awaits me, but I know it will be really stressful. I hope I can improve my GPA and pass with a higher grade this time.

Sinceramente estoy asustado por el próximo semestre, básicamente me salte medio semestre y ahora podre ver tesis, eso me asusta un poco, no creí llegar lejos tan rápido, y por supuesto podre ver otras materias superiores, como forrajicultura (producción de pastos par ganados), es del 9no semestre, probablemente vea cultivos I (Horticultura o fruticultura aun no lo se). Algo bueno me espera, pero se que sera realmente estresante. Espero poder mejorar mi promedio y esta vez aprobar con mayor nota todo.
