Watchmen - The movie, the TV mini series or the comic?

It might be one of the best graphic novel of all time and my favorite, by far.

Watchmen is an American comic book maxiseries by the British creative team of writer Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons and colorist John Higgins. It was published by DC Comics in 1986 and 1987, and collected in a single volume edition in 1987. Watchmen originated from a story proposal Moore submitted to DC featuring superhero characters that the company had acquired from Charlton Comics. As Moore's proposed story would have left many of the characters unusable for future stories, managing editor Dick Giordano convinced Moore to create original characters instead.
Moore used the story as a means to reflect contemporary anxieties and to deconstruct and satirize the superhero concept. Watchmen depicts an alternate history where superheroes emerged in the 1940s and 1960s and their presence changed history so that the United States won the Vietnam War and the Watergate break-in was never exposed.

The Movie

Before watching the movie I never hear about Watchmen, I watched because it was another good superhero movie, but I thought it will be like a classic Marvel movie, with good heroes, silly jokes and a good story. But just after watching 5 mins, when The Comedian dies, my head was like Iron man never dies in a movie, this is interesting. So I keep watching, then Rorschach showed up, then Dr. Manhattan and Ozymandias... I was astonished.

The TV mini-series

The TV show is set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name, while attempting to break new ground of its own.

Few days ago I finished the TV show, at the begging it started slow with some characters not so interesting, in my opinion... but it ended really good, and now I need the Season 2.

The comic

Now what?
Now I need to sit down and wait for the comic book that I bought this morning :P

Thanks for posting to the GEEKZ community!

It's been a long time since I read Watchmen. Maybe I'll have to watch the TV show.
