Greetings, Fine Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Shangri and Nala naptime...

So, we've managed to make it through another week and into Saturday, and Saturday means Caturday my favorite day of the week! Of course, the Hoomans are quick to point out that every day is Caturday around here, and I would have to agree with that.

It has been quiet around the old homestead this week, as the Hoomans have been quietly going about their business of getting their various Internet ventures up and running again, after the Holidays.

What's that, up there?

Of course we cats like to help whenever we can although the Mom-Hooman thinks it is best if we stay out of her office space while she is talking to clients on the telephone or on the computer via Zoom. I can't understand why... Surely everyone would like to see a nice cat, right?

But I do my best to respect her space, and I do my best to help Shangri and Nala understand that it's not OK for them to play "rumpus room" in her space when she is talking to people.

Collective naptime!

The Son-Hooman is arriving from Seattle tomorrow and is going to spend a few weeks with us while he is not working. He will be leaving again in early February to go on an out-of-state trip. I don't really mind him being here because he tends to be quiet and spends his days mostly engaged in gaming in front of our big screen TV.

Speaking of TV, we have discovered that Shangri and Nala really like watching Kitty TV! Their favorite seems to be the fish game, although any live shots with birds and squirrels are very popular with them as well.

Making the most of the sun!

Personally, I'm a little too old for that stuff because I have long since figured out that you can't actually go through the big window and the birds are not hiding on the other side of the screen! But as long as it entertains the young ones everyone's happy!

After some five months with us, our new young kitties have finally decided to abandon at least 90% of their feral ways, and they have pretty much bonded to the Hoomans and don't feel the need to run every time they see movement coming into the room.

I think the Hoomans knew it was always a bit of a risk that they could take a little longer to settle in because they were adopted as slightly older kittens rather than as very young kittens, and they had already spent 6 to 8 weeks at the shelter being poked and prodded when they came to our home. Not a great way for a kitten to start its life!

Meanwhile, Smudge actually seems fairly happy that her favorite room no longer has a Christmas tree in it, complete with all the people coming and going all the time.

Is there an actual REASON why you woke me up?

Seeing as how she is an older cat, she really likes her peace and quiet and she does spend most of her time sleeping. It'll just be a few more weeks before we celebrate her 20th birthday!

One of our New Year's agreements was that we weren't going to keep a constant close eye on life in the Cryptosphere because it is just too stressful. After all, I'm in this game for the long run so the daily swings up and down really aren't that important to me.

Good grooming matters!

That said, the Hoomans seem very happy that the new Presidential administration here in the US is likely to have a more crypto friendly attitude.

But now it seems like it is time for us to get this post published so at least it will go out while it's still counter day! We appreciate your coming to visit our little cat blog here and hope to see you again soon.
