Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

It's the weekend, and somehow we have already arrived at the last Caturday in the month of January. Time sure does fly by! Wasn't it just New Year's Eve?

Any time can be playtime!

These are quiet days around our place.

The Dad-Hooman is busy doing one of his "creative challenges" for several months, so I try to help him as best I can. Although he sometimes has a funny way of showing it, I know he appreciates my help!

Shangri has become such a pretty cat! Our visitors are always amazed by his copper colored eyes.

Meanwhile, the Mom-Hooman is very busy "building a website" for some event she's taking part in, this coming June.

She generally keeps the door to her office closed, but I still nose my way in there to see what she's doing... and to nap near the window, because it's a cozy warm room!

I've learned not to try to help the Mom-Hooman when she's in a mood like this because she might kick me out again!

Meanwhile, I am slowly creeping towards the 5,000 Hive Power mark. This was actually my goal for 2024, but I'll be arriving a little bit late.

I feel like it's an important benchmark... in the sense that if you get to this point, you have likely proven your dedication and consistency in the community.

Next step after this one will be to formally become a Hive "Dolphin."

As I have mentioned previously, one of our goals for 2025 is to ramp up popularity and usage of the Hive Cats Community and that likely also means supporting and featuring cat-related content on @peakds's popular Snaps app.

Yes, we are very into cats, but let's not forget that cat-related content is some of the most popular things you'll find online!

Other than that, my "game" for 2025 consists of just patiently and slowly building my presence in the Hive community... and taking lots of good naps in the sunshine!

The next "in house" thing we have happening will be Smudge's 20th birthday, which is coming up in a just a few weeks!

So far, we have been blessed with a somewhat warm winter around here... which is a nice thing, as I don't like listening to the Dad-Hooman grumble about how high the heating bills are getting.

Lately, we have even had a good bit of sunshine!

I just hope the Hoomans have a good year, so they are more relaxed and less stressed out... they should really take an example from us cats!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
