Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
Excitement in the house!
What is this?
A very long and heavy box arrived at the house yesterday and it was addressed to us cats!
What could it be?
This seems like a very long scratchy pad!
The Mom-Hooman had ordered an "exercise wheel" for us... or more specifically for Nala who has the zoomies pretty much 24/7. But I'm sure it is for anyone who wants to use it.
But how can there be a cat wheel inside that box?
Are you sure you're doing that right?
Clearly, it was one of those "some assembly required" situations!
And was it ever!
It's a good thing there are multiple cats in the house to inspect everything and to make sure the Hoomans were assembling it properly!
Look, at least here's something round!
There were literally 100s of parts — some of which seemed like potential toys — to be put together in exactly the right sequence. Clearly, the 11 minute long assembly instructions video was lying about the amount of time required... or our Hoomans are just very slow!
It's pretty big!
But eventually it actually took form as an exercise wheel, complete with a very good scratchy surface to walk or run on.
Who will be the first test it out?
What do we DO with this?
Various types of enticements were offered, including playtime with the red dot!
It's likely going to take a little while before everyone gets comfortable with this contraption. Time will tell!
Are we supposed to get ON this thing??
In the end, it was Nala who was the bravest and least troubled by the fact that part of it moves.
That said, she just wanted to get at the dangling toy!
I'll try it!
It'll be interesting to see if anyone actually figures out how it works...
Thanks for coming to visit our cat blog, and we hope to see you again!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communities!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!

I know they are pretty pricey but we are looking to get one and I really like the looks of that one. ❤️
This one was about $130 and a lot of assembly, but it runs reqmarkbly quietly and smoothly... it has only been a day, and Shangri at leat walked on it a little today. It'll probably take about a month before they are all really comfortable with it.

Thanks for the reply. Where did you get it. We are probably going to go with that one. Any promo codes or anything to get you credits?
We do Amazon stuff when my @pooky-jax gets her "Fetch" points from receipt scanning.
We got it from Amazon; had a $50 gift card from answering surveys and paid the rest; free shipping with our Amazon Prime which is good since the box is 50lbs+.

Supposedly you can get them from TEMU for less... if you trust that.
TY. ❤️
Oh, my goodness! They are going to love the wheel. I bet it doesn't take them long to figure it out. Lucky kitties ♥
At least two of the have figured it out after 3 days; Shangri gets on there now and then... Nala only when the Hoomans are there to encourage her to chase a toy.

I was wondering how soon it would get used... LOL
It has been three days, and Shangri sporadically gets on it to chase the little hanging toy... Shadow cares not the slightest, and Nala remains a little suspicious. All in all, not that bad, since we figured 30 days.
