Hello to all the members of this community and cat lovers! As usual, I come to talk to you about my experiences with my dear feline nephew Ying, a beautiful cat that I like to call "pompous", not only because of his fatness since after being neutered he became very gluttonous, but also because of his abundant fur. I always say that photographs fail to capture how big and heavy this cat is. Most of the time, Ying is tempted to lie down in the most inappropriate places, such as the place where I usually "accumulate" my drawing materials, without caring what is under his paws; I think this is because originally that basket belonged to Ying when he was a puppy... Could you lend it to me now that it is too small for you? I don't think so 😆

The search for the sun is also one of Ying's great fascinations. My sister used to take him for walks in the afternoons, but due to her job, it has become difficult for her to do so again. One of the windows in the living room is arranged so that Ying can not only sit, but also receive sunlight through it. However, sometimes the sun does not enter through that window (especially if it is very early), which leads Ying to improvise in his search for the sun's rays. At the table where I work, sometimes the sun's rays enter through the window... and then I can count on his pleasant company, even if it is just for a little while.

When his sun needs have been met, Ying usually goes off to find the most comfortable places to rest. I call these objects and spaces his "nests." One of his favorites are some cushions in the living room, we leave one or two on the floor and he immediately settles down on them. Even Ying has his own blanket, so when we see him curled up, it's normal for one of us to cover him... even if Ying seems uncomfortable and then gets away 😅

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los gatos! Como de costumbre vengo a hablarles acerca de mis vivencias junto a mi querido sobrino gatuno Ying, un hermoso gato que me gusta llamar "pomposo", debido no sólo a la gordura que posee ya que luego de ser castrado se volvió muy glotón, sino también por su abundante pelaje. Siempre digo que las fotografías no logran captar lo grande y pesado que es este minino. La mayoría de las veces, Ying se siente tentado de echarse en los lugares más inapropiados, como lo es por ejemplo el sitio en donde suelo "acumular" mis materiales de dibujo, sin importarle lo que se encuentre debajo de sus patas; Creo que esto se debe, a que originalmente aquella cesta le pertenecía a Ying en su temporada como cachorro... ¿Podrías cedérmela ahora que es muy pequeña para ti? Creo que no 😆

La búsqueda de sol, también es una de las grandes fascinaciones de Ying. Mi hermana antes lo paseaba por las tardes, pero debido a su trabajo, se le ha vuelto complicado el volver a hacerlo. Una de las ventanas de la sala está acomodada para que Ying no sólo pueda sentarse, sino también recibir sol a través de la misma. Pero, en ocasiones el sol no ingresa por esa ventana (sobre todo si es muy temprano), lo que lleva a Ying a improvisar en su búsqueda de los rayos del sol. En la mesa en donde trabajo, a veces ingresan los rayos del sol por la ventana... y entonces puedo contar son su grata compañía, así sea un ratito.

Cuando sus necesidades de sol han sido cubiertas, Ying suele irse a buscar los lugares más cómodos para descansar. Yo llamo a estos objetos y espacios sus "nidos". Unos de sus favoritos son algunos cojines de la sala, le dejamos uno que otro en el suelo y él, inmediatamente se acomoda en ellos. Hasta Ying tiene su propia frazada, por lo que, cuando lo vemos acurrucado, es normal que alguno de nosotros lo cubra... así Ying parezca incomodarse y zafarse luego 😅
