Whistle IPA for Beer Saturday

in BEERlast month

A juicy IPA

My wife picked up a few of these for me with the grocery shopping and I do enjoy the odd beer with a match. Beer and sport is always a good combo.

The only complaint with this one was the massive frothy head it produced when I poured it into my favourite tasting glass.

Yep, very very frothy as you can see, but once the head dissipated a little and I tasted it, I was pleasantly surprised, as it was very juicy, Hoppy, cold and enjoyable.

This one will be bought again, that's for sure. It actually survived in my fridge for quite a while, as I had lots of choice there for a bit as you can see below.

As we welcome Spring and Summer soon after please God, the IPAs and cider will be getting more of a look in, and the Guinness less so.

It's another day of Sports for me today. I started off watching the golf from the DP world Tour in Singapore and was really impressed with Andy Sullivan who after going out in -5, then double bogeyed 10 and 11 and bogeyed 12 to undo all of his hard work. He managed to turn things around though with 3 birdies on the way home for an excellent 69 which keeps him right in contention.

Next on the agenda was my son's U11 match which were dual 7v7s. He won his match 2-1 and got both assists and our other team won 5-1 for an overall aggregate win of 7-2 which was great.

Finally Ireland play Belgium in a friendly soccer International at 5pm. It will be interim boss John O'Shea's first match in the hot seat and it will be interesting to see how he goes.

I really hope he gives Mikey Johnson a start, as I've been really impressed with his recent performances for Championship promotion chasers West Brom. Here are a couple of his recent strikes. Take a bow Mikey!

His strike is at the start of this one..

His strike is 0:26 into this one...

The Guinness is far from my reach. I wish I can lay my hand on it. Nevertheless, hope you enjoyed the beer?

Great description of the drink... I doubt I've seen it around here though
