Well Hivers it’s been a little while since I’ve posted anything but #BeerSaturday is nice way to start back into it.
I don’t usually do low alcohol beer, well what’s the point. But after a bit of a boozy week thanks to @scubahead kicking it off at Christmas and New Years Eve last night. I thought I’d give one a go from Infinite Session a company that specialise in AF Beers.
Natty little logo thanks to their website
Infinite Session India Pale Ale is a <0.5% ABV hoppy, vegan friendly, alcohol free tipple.
On the down sided the head isn’t great but the taste is defiantly hoppy, clean and fresh with a slightly citrus tang. And very drinkable which is a present surprise.
Defiantly a good option if your driving or want to spin out a session without busting your liver in the process. As it doesn’t leave an odd taste if you have the occasional real beer with it.
Infinite Session also do an American Pale Ale and a Lager which I may give a go in the future if I see them. I’ve certainly not been put off by the IPA
So Hive beer fans I suppose the important question is does it taste like beer well yes it does and not a bad one either I have had a lot worse from main stream brewery’s standard beers.
I'm not a big drinker, but when I do partake it tends to be Guinness. They seem to be offering an alcohol-free version too, which I have yet to try out. Is this zero alcohol thing a new trend and do you think it'll last? I can see the appeal when you're driving, but want the taste of a lager or such, but if you're partying at home with friends as so many of us are these days instead of going out to pubs or clubs, I wonder what the point of it is. Personally, I'm a little old for going crazy and drinking to the point of collapse, but I do still like a little drinky buzz.
I'd try alcohol-free versions at least once, but would likely stick with alcoholic beverages, in moderation. All of the fun, and no hangover.
I do enjoy a good Guinness unfortunately I have spent a bit of time in Dublin and after that most pints come a very poor second.
I don't think the zero alcohol thing is new I remember seeing it years ago when I worked offshore but it always tasted a bit chemically. The Infinite Session was any thing but and tasted like a normal IPA. I think the Lager would be an interesting on to try.

That sounds like about the type of beer I'd enjoy in the back yard on a hot summer day! Looks tasty.
Yep it would work well for that
