NFT fest at Wylie

Last night I visited Wylie Brewery and taproom after our initial test a few weeks ago. It was a pleasure to meet Reinaldo and the rest of the crew. They were having a fest with a life concert presenting 5 new seasonal beers they had just released.

I like the company and its story, its beers, and the atmosphere of the place. There was live music as Reinaldo and two of his co-founders have a small band and play occasionally. I counted about 70 people by the time we left around 11 pm.

Before the concert started I had a chance to have a nice long conversation with Reinaldo. He explained to me how they ended up purchasing the place where they had the factory and taproom during the pandemics, all the struggling to get the permits, and how they did most of the work themselves to rebuild the place and convert it into what it is today, with the factory, sitting area, bar and kitchen and the outdoor terrace where the concert was taking place. Reinaldo is originally from Venezuela and he relocated here 20 years ago with his family, I admire people who decide to leave their original country to try to prosper somewhere else. Here's a photo of him (at the right) playing the guitar during the concert.

During the event, 5 new beers were presented and you could taste them all, but if you ordered La Belle de Roquetas, you could claim its corresponding NFT from the GifmeBeer collection. They will keep that offer during next week at both of their bars. You can read the spanish description of the five presented beers and the coaster of the one you could earn the NFT

You can also see it in my GifmeBeer collection next to the Maresme Barbia which was started to be offered during last Thursday Barcelona Beer Festival raffle.

I like how we are growing this project organically. There are many features we want to add to the app and we will implement them during the coming months, but meeting all these breweries, getting to meet their owners learning about their story, and testing their beers makes the project even more interesting from the social level. One of my goals is to create some rules for online participation, so hopefully soon I will be able to share with you all, the ways for anyone willing to engage with the dApp.

Cheers!
