Finding out that I'm pregnant with our Baby Number 2 brought a mix of joy, wonder, and quite a reflection to me. Though I've always been open to my husband about my dream of having five children 😊, the news of having our Baby #2 honestly left me speechless. Let me be clear, it was never sad news (in fact, this is a part of my dream come true), of course, welcoming another member to our family is a great blessing from above. But as the saying goes, "when it rains, it pours," raising 2 little ones while I'm juggling my full-time job, with my husband working miles away overseas, brought concern and deep thoughts to me.
I must admit, during the first two months of my pregnancy, worries and concerns stormed my mind. I have plenty of questions raging in my mind. Can I do it? Can I take care of two children after my 8-hour job working as a teacher? What if I get tired?? The thought of not being able to provide my best as a mother weighed heavily on my heart. Was it all just my hormones talking? I hope so, and now I can confidently say yes, a thousand times, yes!
Oh, hormones...you really know how to stir the pot!😄 I was super emotional at that time, worrying about things that didn't exist. 😔
As months passed, I discovered that every pregnancy is unique, and this one, my second time, carries its own surprises. Compared to my first pregnancy, my body was able to handle the changes with more grace Though I still have my fair share of morning sickness which I already officially graduated haha, thankfully I didn't have the heartburn, the nausea, the back pains, and what's great is that my body is so good in keeping up with how busy I got in school especially during the whirlwind of our End of School Year rites or Graduation!
This time, I feel quite confident, mixed with the same tender excitement as I felt the first time.
The gender?
This excites me and my husband! You know what, our baby number 2 is giving us the thrill and an intense level of excitement! During my ultrasound, our little one decided to play hide and seek, not revealing the big surprise. Haha. I told the doctor that "Maybe we should wait for a little more time, and the baby might change position". Haha., the doctor giggled and kindly said that I can come back next month.
So until now, we haven't known the gender yet. My next ultrasound will be in my third trimester, and the anticipation continues to grow. We honestly wished for a boy this time so that we would have "a pair na" as we say, but whatever blessing God will give us, we will embrace and love it wholeheartedly. At the end of the day, love knows no gender. 🤗
Gratitude in the waiting. I’m now soaking in this season slowly, thankful for each moment it brings. Yes, there are many plans I've pressed "pause on" just like the continuation of my grad schooling, my PhD, our planned travel abroad with my firstborn, my adventure in discovering more of the mountains in the countryside, and even my full comeback to Hive Blogging. But for now, I'm just feeling the present and preparing myself, physically, emotionally, and mentally, in this beautiful motherhood journey.
And yes that's it for my blog today, which isn't about a big announcement, but rather sharing this quiet miracle of life growing within me, my second baby.

Congratulations maam! It's really nice to read such wonderful news...I mean motherhood must be nice because despite that it's evidently tiring, you still can share it with much enthusiasm and joy—something I won't probably relate to because my condition won't allow me to have future pregnancy—but anyway reading such sharing does really spark happiness in me, and hopefully, it will be a 'pair na' for you maam. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy journey!
Congratulations and good luck on your new journey ahead, Ma'am :)
