Ever since I was a kid I never experienced this kind of competition.I never expected to acquire this opportunity that been given to me to be part of this press conference.Though I have doubt of myself,they still chose me to compete for the Division School Press conference (DSPC).I was so nervous at first that I won't be able to win the competition,yet I thought to myself "It's my first time,I don't need to win the competition,I just want to experience this kind of event".Yes even though I didn't win, I'm still honored to be part of the journalist of all students in our school,I am able to represent our school in good purpose.
As I spent my days in Liloan,I met new people that became my friends and accompany for a week.We have bond together,we shared laughters, stories and even gossips.It was my best days of my life,like I never felt so happy before and the fact that I'm not worrying about my academic at school .
We sent time together like we know each other for years.We go to the mall together,eat at Jollibee or even in small stall.
At the day of the competition, it happened on February 4,2025 I was very nervous since it's my first time to compete with this kind of activity.Ohh wait I forgot to tell you my category is news writing in Filipino,yes it's been a long day for me at the competition, when I got my fact sheet I don't know what to do,I don't know where to start, though I written something in my paper,there will be 0.0001% to win the competition due to many competitors.After a long day at the competition,we then head back to the school that we're staying in and just relax and wait for the few days to announce the winners,as expected,I didn't win the competition but I'm happy to be part of the event.
After our competition,we just have chill days and wait for the closing of the event.We just scrolled through the playground and play volleyball,and other activities.We just love hanging out,for instance,we went to the shopping mall and window shopinng like we own the place,lol.
The last day has come,at the 5th day there it was,the ending of the event,lots of journalist gathered coming from different schools in our Division.Many lucky journalist have won in the competition,but for me I am just great full that I am one of the participants of the event.It was the day that we head back home and leave the Liloan,but the memories we shared together with my friends is unforgettable.It was an amazing and unforgettable experience indeed in my high school life.
