The Moon and the Warm Glow of the Sky: Friends for a Lonesome Soul

Have you ever experienced a sense of calm while sitting by yourself and observing the sky's color changes? Have you ever feel like the moon understands your silence when you look at it? Nature can be our silent companion when we have no one to talk to. After a hard day, the golden hour's warm warmth is like a gentle hug. High above, the moon shines softly in the darkness and listens without any judgment to us. ✨️

These little beauties serve as a reminder that we are never really alone, even in times of loneliness. That there will always be both beauty and light in time of darkness. Even when the world seems against you and too far away, they offer solace, hope, and a feeling of belonging.

In this blog, I will discuss how the moon and warm colors of the sky became my silent companions during the times I desire calmness, peaceful presence, and someone I can talk to.

As I had mentioned in my previous blog, I didn't have anyone to lean on or talk to about my feelings as I grew up. I feel very very overwhelmed at times, that I thought sometimes I couldn’t handle it, but I had no one to talk to. For this reason, it pushes me to just write everything — my anxieties, my sorrows, and my unsaid words or thoughts in a notebook or on a sheet of paper then burn them.

But then, as time goes by, I learned something more different (and it might be weird for others?) but it gives me a light feeling. As I realized how peaceful and comforting it feels to simply just look at the moon and the warm glow of the sun. It was as if they were listening, silently taking in my unspoken thoughts and feelings. The moon, shining softly in the quiet night, became a friend in my loneliest moments, reminding me that there will always be a light in every darkness. The gentle sunlight, wrapping everything in warmth, felt like a silent reminder that every dark night is followed by a bright new day, a bright new start.

I, now, just allow my thoughts to just freely flow beneath the warm glow of the sky rather than just writing them down in a sheet of paper and then burning them. When I'm lost and when I'm in need of silence, I look at the moon, and find peace in its light radiance. And somehow, it did became just more than enough.

These two glowy friend of mine have seen every aspect of who I am, what I am, and what I have been through in my life. They have witnessed the changes and progress of me, the downfall of me, my silent sobs, my failures, and my struggles in order to survive. They guided me when I was lost, when I had no one, and when I needed to be strong just to get through in everything I had experienced through out my whole life. 🌙☀️

No matter how difficult yesterday was or today is, there will always be a new day that will always come. Just like how the sky's warm colors and brightness reminded me this everyday. Despite their silence, I could feel that they do understood me. They became, in a sense, my quiet friends — always there, present and listening.

In a world full of fake people and friends who just come and will eventually just go, the moon and the warm colors of the sky will forever stay with you. They don’t lie, they are not fake, they don’t leave, they don’t hurt, and most especially, they don’t judge. Instead, they are always there, watching over you in silence, just waiting for you to notice and look at them.

When you feel alone, hurt, confused, or betrayed, just look up. The moon will shine for you in the quiet night, and the sky will greet you with its gentle warm glow and warm colors in the morning or in the late afternoon. No matter how many people turn their backs on you, these two will accept all of you (no matter who ou are, and what you are) and will never ever leave your side.

Behind of how I am always amaze and so in love at the beauty of the moon and the warm colors of the sky is more than something deeper. More than just shining in the sky, these two have become my greatest and longest companions. They don’t speak, but their presence is enough to bring comfort and peace. In a world that is constantly changes, they remain, they stay — always waiting, always shining, always there FOR YOU.
