Evolution of my dreams

in Hive PH4 months ago (edited)

When I grow up, I want to be a saleslady!

That was my dream, I can clearly remember when I graduated kindergarten, that was what I muttered on stage, and I am very proud of it. Nakikita ko kasi yung mga saleslady na ang gaganda nila, laging ayos na ayos, and they’re very patient with the questions of every customer. When I was in elementary, 3rd grade, I want to become a fashion designer, I play dolls and tinatahian ko ng iba’t-ibang damit, kaya lang narealize ko hindi pala ako marunong mag drawing. 5th grade, now I want to become a lawyer. Sabi kasi nila, “pwede ka na maging attorney, ang dami mo lagi rason”. 6th grade, as I finish my elementary, nakalimutan ko na kung ano ba yung profession na gusto ko during that time. Then I entered high school, I feel lost di ko na alam talaga yung gusto, gusto lang mag-aral, then SHS I feel like I want to be in medical field at the same time I have this thinking na after ko maka tapos ng isang course at makapag trabaho, gusto ko maging teacher. Science teacher, because I really love Science. Pero andun pa rin yung admiration ko how pretty and patient ng mga sales lady, cashier, yung mga nasa customer services, pero narealize ko kasi na hindi pala ako magaling makipag usap sa mga tao. So going back, I love studying but not with Mathematics, then guess what, I took engineering when I went to college. Na-curious lang kasi ako dun sa word na “chemical engineering”, since may chemical akala ko puro science, ayun science na punong puno ng math. Then after I graduated, nabigyan ako ng chance na mag-turo. Ang plano ko before mag tuturo ako pag napagod na ko sa industry, ang nangyari I landed my first job as an instructor, and sobra ko pong naenjoy yun. So, what’s the point of all these? Your dreams may or may not change, pero ang mahalaga ay ang pag papatuloy. I learned how to dream, and how to navigate the challenges to reach it because of how I was nurtured by the people around me. The stepping stone of these children to be successful is the moment they learn that they want to achieve something in the future, and our role is to support and guide them most especially when they’re starting, through the most confusing and darkest times, huwag po tayong tumigil sa pag titiwala sa kanila, kasi eventually they will realize what they really want to do.

Every child, is an intelligent child, sa iba’t ibang aspeto. The mind of every child is not an empty box, hindi po tayong mga adults ang nagpupuno ng mga idea sakanila, dahil their minds are already full of unique ideas waiting to be nourish and develop.

I still have much to learn and am always willing to learn.
