Refreshments With New Found Friend at Chowking

"A day without a friend is like a pot without a single drop of honey left inside." — Winnie the Pooh

After having our dinner at the Rajah Hotel, I felt that I was not yet full since the food served was very few and there were too many participants. So I just got very little food on my dinner plate. I was conscious when I got a lot of food knowing that many were still on the line. Almost all of us complained about the way the hotel served us. We don't know why these scenarios happened. Maybe because we're out of budget. This was the first ever training I've experienced that food was the problem. So what I did was I said to my co-PMT that I would buy some bread at the bakeshop. They said. Why? I said, I'm hungry and I want to eat something. It was also a coincidence when one of our facilitators in EPP, the District Supervisor in Bantayan Island, invited us to have a halo2 at Chowing. With my co-PMT together with the Division Secretariat, we said yes to her invitation. The supervisor ordered two big bowls of halo-halo. As a result, we couldn't even consume everything.

We enjoyed talking about our experiences during eating time, during the plenary, and even every breakout session in every batch. We shared our AHA moments or experiences. We find time to relax and unwind with each other despite being busy not only in the morning but also before going to bed for some documents to prepare.

We were so thankful that we are about to end our Matatag Training of Trainers. For almost a month of our stay in the city at least we can rest and focus on our school tasks left at home for a while just to answer the call of our division. Now that the 3 batches are done were hope that all the participants can cascade properly what they have learned from the training. They can motivate the teachers to implement the curriculum with all their hearts and minds for they are part of the history. The success of the curriculum lies in the hands of our teachers and the teacher's implementation lies in their hands on how they are going to inspire their teachers in their respective fields.

After having our halo-halo moment at chowing we went back to our respective rooms. Thankful for the time shared and the refreshments offered to us by one of our speakers who was truly a kind-hearted person.
