Hello, Hivers! It's me, Doughnahhh, back with another blog series. Today, I want to continue my previous story regarding my grandfather's condition. It has been a journey full of obstacles hope, and all aspects of emotions as we face these challenges. I know some of you have been following our tale, and I sincerely appreciate your support and good messages. In this blog, I'll keep you updated on how he's been doing recently, the development we've observed, and the small emerges we're grateful for. So remain with me as Itake you through the next phase of our journey.
After a few days of waiting, the CT scan results for my grandfather finally came out, and after reviewing the results, the physicians discovered an abnormal buildup of fluid in his belly. To further explore after the results they discover the underlying problem, the medical experts stated that a fluid-draining treatment would be required. This procedure is required so that the fluid sample may be analyzed at the lab, allowing them to determine what is causing the accumulation, whether it be an infection, inflammation, cancer, or another ailment. In order to make a more educated diagnosis and choose the best course of treatment going forward, the physicians stated that this analysis will provide them with a clearer and more accurate picture of what's happening inside my grandfather's stomach.
The physicians have opted to drain the fluid that has gathered in my grandfather's belly as part of the next treatment after receiving this findings of his CT scan. So this procedure is required so that they can properly inspect the fluid and better understand what is making his stomach swollen. They'll be able to detect if the sample contains any evidence of infection, inflammation, or other underlying concerns that are hurting his health and causing him belly ache. It's a critical step in determining the best course of treatment for him going forward.
The doctor gave us some space and left out of the room so that we could have some private moments to talk about the next procedure that they will take to my grandfather and what they will do to identify it more. It was important for us to be able to process the information they told us and have a deep talk to discuss it as a family and talk each other through the decision-making process. We needed time to pass our questions to each other to ask for clarification so that it would be clearer, express our feelings, and come to a united decision on what to do next. We should unite this time together, we could ensure that everyone was heard and agreed to the doctor's procedure so that we would be able to give the doctor our answers as soon as possible as we finished talking about our decision-making. This way, the medical team can move forward with the next steps in a timely and respectful manner.
After taking the time to talk things through as a family with a deep talk, we all came to a mutual understanding and agreed to move forward with the procedure as the doctors recommended for the sake of my grandfather. We know that this is maybe a crucial step in the process, but we trust all the medical team because they make it in our grandfather’s best interests to make him better. This decision wasn’t easy for us, but we all made it together, with love and a
shared hope for his healing. More than anything, we want what’s best for him to make him heal and we believe that this is the right course of action to give him the care and support he needs at this time. It was a difficult conversation, but in the end, we were united in our desire to do what’s right for our grandfather.
The day after the doctors explained everything to us about what the procedure would be taken for the sake of my grandfather's health condition to make him heal and gave us time to think and talk, we informed all of our family members and made our decisions, each of us. We had taken the time to talk as a family and we're carefully considering what was best for our grandfather to make him heal. After we let the doctors know what our decision was, that we were ready to move forward, they began preparing for the next steps. The very next day after we told them what our decision was, my grandfather was brought to the laboratory so they could carry out all the procedures they had been planning on. It all moved quickly. They interviewed first my grandfather for a little investigation about what he was feeling right now and if he didn't have allergies and more personal questions so that we felt more confident in the care he was receiving and hopeful about what was to come.
