Birthdays are best celebrated with family and friends. It is a moment to celebrate life and success and being able to reach another milestone in life.
Our neighbor, my son's former first grade teacher celebrated her 50th birthday and chose my son to be one of her 10 Roses.
I remember the day she sent me a private message on my social media account that she wants my son to be one of the 10 Roses and I immediately said yes because she is my son's former first grade teacher and she is also a good friend of ours.
I was also happy that the motif was red or gold because I have an unused Shein dress I kept on my closet which I was gonna use for the Junior High School Recognition at our school but I failed to use because I did not attend. It was meant for this birthday party.
Here in the Philippines, when there is a debut (or an 18th Birthday Celebration) there is 18 roses, 18 blue bills, 18 treasures and 18 candles. But since this is a 50th birthday celebration she had 10 roses, 10 candles, 10 blue bills, 10 treasures and 10 shots for a total of 50 people. It was a good idea. One way to connect with friends and families and get them involved in the celebration.
The celebration is held at Caduawan Covered Court and the motif was red or gold. It was just a walking distance from our house.
We arrived at about 6:00 pm since the party was set to begin at 6:30 pm and there were not so much people so we had the opportunity to take some photos at the front design.
When the party started, there were a lot of games and fun activities such as dancing around and saying birthday wishes and prayers. Then, it was time for dinner.
They had the famous lechon which is present in almost every Filipino celebration and the foods were fairly distributed by the caterers.
I also had the chance to take a photo with the birthday celebrant, Ma'am Jussie.
She looked stunning in her gold gown and she is the star of this night. Everyone was so happy to see her shine bright.
After dinner, the party continued and it was time for the 10 roses which my son had the opportunity to join to.
Most of the 10 Roses are our cousins. We are glad that she invited us on her special day. Not only invited us but also gave us a special role. We feel so honored.
My son then gave his former teacher our birthday gift for her. Just some essentials we bought at Penshoppe since we went to Cebu City a week ago to buy my son his outfit and our gift also.
We spent the entire night dancing and singing and it was the perfect way to celebrate her 50th birthday. It was just like a debut celebration the only difference is that the celebrant's age is 50 and not 18.
To more birthdays and celebrations to come! Ciao! ❤️
I really like the Filipino traditions for a 50th birthday, like the 10 Roses and 10 Candles. It's a wonderful way to involve so many loved ones in the celebration and it's clear how honored you and your son felt to be a part of it.😊I hope you have the sharon😂😂😂✌️
