Practice the things you want to be perfect in,because stock knowledge doesn't always exist.

Hello dear hivers, this blog is all about how I spent my Wednesday in school. Our first minor subject required us to meet our instructor face to face because we have to perform our original poem for his semi- final.

I was prepared for the spoken poetry,I stop relying solely on my stock knowledge. It had become a habit to the point that even during long quizzes I won't study that long because of just relaying on stock knowledge.

I practiced my piece, timed myself since it was part of the rubric, and memorize. The good thing about memorizing your own piece is that you can easily familiarize yourself with it and you can put some emotions throughout the piece.

I left the house as early as I could since the class starts at 7:30 and we have to find a vacant room for the subject. It is not easy to find a vacant room because there are a lot of students but there are only few rooms to occupy.

Wearing my floral dress,I walked through to the waiting station to wait for the jeepney.Thankfully I was able to catch the early jeep to arrived. As I arrived at school,I noticed that there are few students who where already in the campus.

Together with my vice mayor,we started to find a room for the rest of the class and thankfully we found a vacant on the Education Building 3rd floor. It was an achievement because, sometimes we cannot find vacant rooms in that floor, mostly we can find rooms on 6th or 7th floor.Imagine the struggle just to reach the room without any elevator to use.

We prepared our papers and practiced our piece just incase, because expecting the unexpected during oral recitation. As the spoken poetry began,we had to rate our classmates' performances based on what we really see,not on how close we are.

My heart was pounding so hard as my name was called, taking my deep breath, with the sign of the cross just to ease my nervous,I started my piece.I know I did a great job,and I know it was great.

After everyone was done with their pieces, the instructor read his comments one by one.I expected to have the highest grade and it was granted. My confidence came from my dedication and hardwork to practice my poem.

Practicing isn't just about memorizing,it's about understanding what we are reading. As we understand it ,the moment we forgot some part,we are able to come up with new words and continue the performance.

That's all for this blog everyone,See you in my next blog. Have a Good Day!
