I’m going to my first international trip because of Hive | Happy Anniversary Hive PH

in Hive PHlast year (edited)

Hi, my dear friends! Hindi ko na naabutan yung blog contest ng Hive PH but I still want to write an entry about revisiting my first week here, how I spent my time with Hive PH, and the tangible blessing I got from Hive (but the most meaningful blessings are the ones invisible to the eye, ehe!)

Looking back on my intro post, I intended to make it slightly different. The title seems clickbait-y, and my content reveals a side I don’t usually show. Right off the bat, I wanted to be true and vulnerable.

This doesn’t mean laying down all my cards on the table because I want you to get to know my thoughts, feelings, and experiences like a book. You open a chapter, flip the pages, and move on to the next one, hoping you learn a thing or two about the life of a 24 y/o who is challenging the norm by healing… before falling in love.

Healing before climbing up the career ladder.

Healing before deciding which investment to take.

I meant healing my past while trying to live my best present. My definition of healing might change occasionally, depending on the emotional need I am trying to fulfill. Whether that’s the need to be accepted, recognized, or understood, I’m simultaneously soothing my younger selves who went through negative experiences and had it unprocessed.

Where does Hive come in my healing?
Back in Nov 2022, I resigned from my previous job and tossed blind faith in the universe that it would catch me. Unknowingly, @tpkidkai wrote a comment on my Facebook page:

So I contacted him via Messenger. He walked me through the onboarding process, and now I have this entire online space to talk about anything.

The best part is there were no nosy Facebook Mariteses to gasp and gawk at my posts, talking behind my back and influencing my parents to be toxic.

“Oh, how ungrateful!” became “Oh, how inspiring!” here.

After a long time, I felt I could have a voice on this platform. Believe it or not, rants here are so empowering (or shitposting) because, for people with a history of trauma, who were gaslit and shamed for speaking up, it was mind-blowing to witness how others just say what they want to say.

Thus, my “therapy series” was created. I documented my therapy work through my blogs, which I was actually proud to show my psychologist last April 1 when we met online. I told him I look forward to Friday nights because I get to laugh and interact with a community filled with genuine people. The more I blogged about healing, the more I became aware of my small wins, which made me feel proud of myself.

The positive vibes don’t end there because I could see in the comments how my healing spreads like smooth butter on freshly baked bread. The comments section almost always feels warm, and they inspire each other to evaluate the mental health status in their places and minds.

Soon, the Hive rewards came through, and at first, I really didn’t pay much attention to it. I was afraid of touching it or something bad might happen. Sometimes I thought, maybe it’s time for a little treat?

The timing came sooner than I anticipated because BTS’ management announced that Suga, one of the BTS members (my ultimate bias wrecker), will have his first world tour!

You should know by now that I have been an ARMY, a BTS fan since 2017. But I wasn’t financially fortunate to buy merchandise and albums until I graduated in 2019. Even then, it took me another year to buy a light stick and album.

Now, I have the means to spend here and there – so when I looked up the Asia tour dates, I was surprised to find Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, and Singapore, but no Philippines.

That meant the only way to see him is by booking an international tour ticket. With the ticket selling on April 2, I lacked the budget to secure good seat tickets until I decided to withdraw my Hive rewards.

Special shoutout to @adamada, who made the quick trade and swift transaction; you made my trip possible! Hahaha!

Upon my calculations, Thailand was the best way to go, which also means this would be my first trip flying out of the country. Wish me luck! For sure I will enjoy leaving our hell hole of a country (momentarily) on June 9-12 😜

Final thoughts
Meeting Hive PH was one of the greatest plot twists of my 2022 back when I became their webinar speaker and now I'm part of the community since January 10.

It may seemed like they needed me the most then, but now they are the ones I could lean on for a piece of joy or rewards. Hahaha!

For these many reasons, I am grateful for everyone! I'm so glad to be your Angkan Diwata - I'll be sharing my fairy dust when I can 😆😘 Happy Anniversary Hive PH!

And with that, thank you for reading! 💜

P.S. If you have any tips about going to Thailand, please share some in the comments.

I don’t know if we had made a great impression to you when you were still a guest speaker last year, (for sure nope) but now that you’re part of the community, it’s so nice to get to know you more and yeaaaaaah, we can heal together! Your posts are so powerful too! 😌

Anyways, enjoy sa TH!

Not bad for your first international trip to attend a concert for an international artist. Pag wala sa Cebu yong gusto kong artista, I prefer to fly out of the country as well. I went to Singapore to watch the Maroon 5 concert. :)

Ooohh! Any tips po sa international concerts? 😆😊

Sharing your journey here rewards in more ways than one, and not entirely what you might’ve expected. I couldn’t agree more.

Indeed a fan as you are willing to travel just to see your idol. Something I won't do as it might be just a waste of money, especially if you sit far from the concert stage 🤣. You'll just gonna be seeing him in the big monitor only, lol. But the experience would gonna be great.
.goodluck to you. I guess @macchiata is still in Thai? 😅 not sure though.

June and July I think I'll go back to Indo because it's sunny and rainy season in Thailand at least that's what I heard 🤣 so I don't want to experience flood over here hehehe

Haha. Then you guys might have a chance to meet hehe. Are you a BTS army? You might want to watch the concert too hehe

Waaahh I didn't know it would be rainy season there but at least I could prepare 😁

hehe sure! rainfall will most likely happen but it's all unpredictable. So just make sure to prepare an umbrella or two. Even when it's not rainy, umbrella is a good option. Also, don't overpack because clothes here are cute and reasonable, you'd be tempted to buy one 😄

Enjoy the trip Ish! I am sooo happy about your travel this year! It was a great experience having you onboard and becoming a member of the community too!

Crazy no? When I scout you in our webinar I had hopes that you will be joining the community since you are also writing stuff on your blog and Facebook Page but then again, I waited for the right time for that. I want you to be at ease with everything and possibly if a need will arise I will present the thought HAHA.

Glad that Hive and even HivePh have been a safe space for your rants and shitposting. This is the beauty that I experienced too when I started doing my blogs, I can bare my soul without negative judgment from others as everyone seem to be so kind to everyone.

if a need will arise I will present the thought HAHA.

And you did! HAHAHA excellent marketing skills 😆

I couldnt be more grateful 😍

Wow! Congratulations! 🥰 Iba talaha ang Hive! 🥹🤗
Thank you for inspiring me, now I am empowered to gain more here in Hive! 🥰♥️ God bless po and thank you for sharing this inspiring article of yours.

Push lang sis! 😊🤗

Go on a river tour sa Chao Phraya. Visit the floating market. Sa chatuchak weekend market ang cheap stuff (prepare to walk the whole day), visit ka ng temples, magpa massage pag napagod ka na. !LUV this post. Good luck with your trip.

Omgg noted on these! Thank you for the suggestions 😍

I wish I have some tips to share but I haven't been to Thailand yet eh hahaha

OH YEAH. EXCITING!

happy for you! go go go~

Syempre thanks for patiently explaining to me how to withdrawww HAHAHA

Friend, it's good that I did it has become your safe place. Wow, how incredible that you can go see a concert outside your country (Is the Philippines hell? 😅) I really hope you enjoy it and can tell all your experience through your blog so that it remains a beautiful memory ❤ A hug 🤗

((Philippines can be kind of heaven and hell at the same time 😆)) Thank you! I will blog about it 🤗
