ALLISON'S SIMPLE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

"Nothing brings people together like good food"

A quote captures my attention as we entered the restaurant, thinking, it is our third time coming back here since they served food that suits our tastes and budget.

I am referring to Dampa restaurant. Some people with vehicles keep coming back to this place precisely because of its cozy ambiance and delightful food.

Since it's my son's birthday, we ordered a boodle set in which it can cater to 3 to 4 people. A complete set, I say, it has seafood like grilled bangus, delicious shrimp (our favorite), seaweeds (guzo), grilled barbecue pork, grilled thigh part chicken, lettuce, cucumber, chicharon, and a sauce. Below all the viand was the bountiful rice which we Filipinos can't live without it😁.

We also ordered a big bowl of Bebe soup with plenty of sweet corn and green chili pepper. Being our third time here, still, this soup would be on our list because our children love and probably they eat it a lot. The birthday boy wears red with his father letting him eat before going to a mini playstation.

I told my son that it is his birthday. His reaction was just normal like okay it's my birthday, so where's my cake? It didn't cross my mind of buying a cake or preparing something for his day instead coming here with my family and having a simple lunch would be okay. As we came here, my son didn't remember the cake anymore, all he wanted is "play".

This place made our lunch a meaningful one hence we're taking some time to relax and feel the fresh air. Seeing another view is way better hence we're looking at the same thing every day.

Always reward ourselves for doing the best we can every day. Whether there's an occasion or not we should prioritize ourselves over anything else.

After a sumptuous lunch, we decided not to go home yet and took a sit for a while. My beautiful family made me wonder how blessed I am to be with them. How thankful I am being a mother to my children and a wife to my only husband.

Last March 23 was the birthday of my son and it falls on Thursday, that is why we celebrated his birthday on Saturday. Before this month ends, I just want to say happy 6th birthday son!. May you grow a wholesome one, has fear of God, and be a good follower. May you take seriously of your studies however I had noticed that you feel lazy every morning I wake you up. Anyway, I'll give you some time since you're just a kid. Hopefully, it won't take long not until you become a high school. Kidding😂.

The love we can give to our children cannot equal anything else. As long as I live, I would be the best mom to them. Learning from my past experiences is a whole lot more of coping and overcoming however it's a challenge for me as a mother.
