The Day I Met NAO the Robot

Hi there everyone, Today is Friday and we don’t have classes but we have a seminar workshop to attend too. For this day I woke very early , prepared my bag, take bath and have my breakfast partnered with hot coffee.

Now I am waiting for my ride going to school. The bus in our town is very rare this days that is why I am waking up early to not be late. But at this moment I think will gonna be late because its already 10 minutes ago since I left the house. After a 3 minutes there is a bus, its not an ordinary bus but its a Provincial big bus and its more expensive than the ordinary bus that I ride.

Thankfully I arrived at school at on time, and we are just waiting for the Speaker to come. The topic for today Seminar Workshop is about Robotics.

The Workshop began and they introduce us a Intelligent robot. Its name is “NAO” . This robot is so amazing that you can literally talk to her and its replies back politely. While the demonstration of her the instructors introduce as its robotics parts and other abilities that can NAO do. I was shock during lecture because NAO suddenly move and do a squat position and talk. Everyone was laughing and amaze.

Also the instructors teach us on how to code NAO to do the dance moves that we want. Its very hard to code but we find it fun because when we try to run the code trial code to NAO he falls. Loz. so we do reprogram it again until NAO can act it without falling.

In the afternoon session we build a robot using the the VEX Robot Kit. Before we build the robot the instructors introduce us first about the robotics Kits and then they introduced the instructions for today afternoon activity.

Now we are building the robot, we first count the robot parts of the kit if their is missing when we already check we then start to assemble it. Starting from its motor assembly into the wheels and its base and connecting it to the robot brain. After building the train robot we now connect it into its controller. We find hard to connect the controller to the train robot because it needs a technique in connecting those two .

After we all finish building the robot we up it into a robot competition were in the robot needs to claw a blocks and put it into another side. Each blocks has a corresponding pints. The team that have many blocks to earn will be the winner. But unfortunately we did not win we only got the 4th place. Either we win or not I am still thankful to have experience this kind of workshop. Its not just we are learn we also have fun during the robotics workshop.
