MEETING AND OWNING HARO THE ROBOT

in Hive PH3 months ago

I saw the post of our place Japan Surplus about their peso (1) sale, as always I'm tempted to explore the place, thinking what my 100 pesos can take home on their biggest sale of the year.

The funny thing that happened during this day was when I was walking around minding my own business looking for good stuff, I got asked by other customers about the prices of the products, I smiled warmly telling them that I didn't know and I was not one of the staffs in the place. I find it amusing every time this happens because they must've kept on seeing me at this surplus a lot for them to think of me as one of the staff, like yeah I'm a regular customer at the place alright 😆

The best thing I found while I was walking around was a toy haro, placed in a very secluded area, I had to remove some boxes and open them one by one to see if there was anything good. I found Haro, a robot character that you can see in most Gundam series, I happen to like Gundam, so this is a gem in my eyes and I also know the original price of this product...

I thought it was hard to assemble such a toy with a Japanese guide but thankfully I followed the images so well, though it took me about 30 minutes to assemble it, I wondered if Gundam kits are this easy to assemble, I doubt it is though...

Even though I am a fan of the anime Gundam, I haven't started collecting Gundam toys yet since I still can't afford to buy myself one, but it was a treat that day because toys in thrift shops mean they cost less, and so happened the surplus was on sale, so I asked the cashier if how much this toy costs and she priced it as 20 pesos, like heck yeah, I didn't hesitate to buy it, from its original price 10.77 USD/600 PESOS to getting it only for 20 pesos is already a catch, my inner gundam fan is screaming so bad...

I hope next time I'll get lucky to see a Gundam kit in this surplus with the same price like 20 pesos hahaha! anyways just sharing my little happiness on finding a good item in thrift shops
