Sundays are meant for family, laughter, and good food. There is nothing quite like spending a relaxing day with loved ones while catching up on stories and indulging in delicious foods. Me and my incomplete family because some of them were at house, our recent Sunday was made extra special by a trip to Mang Inasal in Bogo City, Cebu a simple yet heartwarming experience that reminded us why family time is priceless.
Sunday in Bogo City
After attending Sunday Mass, we decided to stop by and treat ourselves to a satisfying meal at Mang Inasal, one of the country’s beloved fastfood chains. Mang Inasal is famous for its juicy grilled chicken and unlimited rice.
As we walked into the restaurant, the mouthwatering aroma of grilled chicken filled the air that makes our stomachs rumble with anticipation. The place was packed with families and groups of friends, all eager to enjoy their favorite Filipino comfort food.
The Ultimate Mang Inasal Feast
When you visit Mang Inasal you should order their signature Paa (chicken leg) or Pecho (chicken breast) with unlimited rice on a very affordable price. The smoky, slightly charred flavor of the chicken, paired with a dipping sauce of calamansi, soy sauce, and chili, was simply irresistible.
We also tried other specialties like pork BBQ and halo-halo. What I enjoyed most about their halo-halo was its rich mix of ingredients such as sweet beans, ice cream, leche flan, and crushed ice. Alongside the delicious dishes and desserts, they also offer free chicken oil, which you can add to your rice for an extra burst of flavor.
Eating with my bare hands is a must whenever I dine at Mang Inasal because it makes the food more enjoyable and comforting, allowing me to fully experience the heat and juiciness of the chicken.
While the food was undoubtedly delicious, what made the experience truly memorable was the company. We shared stories, laughed over silly jokes, and enjoyed every bite together. It was a simple moment, but one filled with warmth and love. A reminder that the best Sundays aren’t about extravagant trips or fancy meals, it’s about spending quality time with the people who matter most.
As we left Mang Inasal, full and satisfied, we couldn’t help but feel grateful. Sundays like this spent in Bogo City with family, are what make life truly special. Until the next weekend adventure, IWe will be cherishing this simple yet unforgettable meal.
That’s all for today’s blog Folks! Up until then, Adios!
