THE INCREDIBLE MEET-UP OF BLOGGERS FROM CEBU'S NORTH

Meeting in person is one of the best ways that strengthens ultimately the bond of bloggers that have only known their social identity.

Hello, dear Hivers! What a marvelous day that I got! Undeniably, all of us were exhilarated about our first Hive Teachers Meet-up together with one of the most prominent and flawless curators @ybanezkim26, and our sexy and distinguished @indayclara who used to onboard us 7 months ago. How fabulous this would be!

In this blog, I want to share how I glorify this particular event, the first-ever meet-up that is truly exceptional, how I adore the salient points and the details being shared by these two kind-hearted curators, and how I relish this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with them. This day is worth sharing.

The Plan

How time flies fast. It was last May 8, 2023, when @indayclara sent us a message about our first Hive Teachers Meet-up, when will that be, where will be the venue and what are the things to be brought? She had planned and organized this and made sure that everything will go smoothly. Finally, it is to be done on May 21, 2023, at Half Moon of San Remegio, Cebu. Without any doubts, I saved the date.

Excitement aroused each one of us. Pledges were raised in our group chat. I was anxious if what should I pledge because I'm not good at cooking. I was thinking if what kind of recipe will I prepare. Good thing @dehai told me that we will just divide the expenses equally for the dish that will be cooked for everybody. The two of us had agreed about this and finally decided to cook spring rolls and shrimp. I pledged the shrimp and she was for the spring rolls. She is good at cooking thus, I entrusted everything to her without any hesitation.

The Venue

It takes 40 minutes to be reaching the venue from my residence. Early in the morning, we had risen as it has been agreed by the body that whether it will rain or shine, the meet-up continues. I was planning to travel by motorcycle however, it rained hard so we opted to commute. Together with my fur baby Bebe, and my Rixie Mae we traveled miles away to reach our destination, the Half Moon of San Remegio, Cebu City.

Upon our arrival, the ambiance of our reception was captivating and everything was cool. I'm a timid type of person, I was ashamed as I entered the entrance but immediately it was gone when @indayclara greeted me religiously and I was really glad to see her again. She's so kind even though she is strict in another way 😊. I have learned a lot from her mentorship.

At the cottage where we gathered, my shyness was felt again upon seeing @ybanezkim26 helped in preparing the table. This was the first time to have seen him. As I gazed at him, I was speechless. He is so flawless, the way he moves he is very fine and a reserved type of guy. So this he now? (I smiled secretly)...he has an extremely impressive personality. I was thinking if he is strict too like Inday Clara? I don't know what to do because I came late. Since the table was almost set, I went out and helped my co-bloggers do the grilling of fish and pork at the grilled section.

It's lunchtime! A variety of foods were seen on the table; there were desserts, lechon manok, butter shrimp with lemon, spring rolls, grilled pork, fish, empanadas, fruits, and drinks too. Everybody brought something to eat and to be shared. There was too much for everybody to be shared. Before eating started, the foods were blessed first by @callmesmile.

The opening remarks were given by Inday Clara. She welcomed us wholeheartedly and happily and extended her gratitude that we were able to come. After she had spoken, I felt comfortable already.

What a sumptuous lunch we had! Amid it, Inday Clara told us that Sir Kim will follow us individually and it was truly a great honor and privilege to be followed by a well-known curator in the Hiveblock chain. It was flattering to me as new to this platform. Forever I will be thankful for this.

Afterward, we faithfully listened as he discussed all the betterment that Hive brings. I truly admired him for being so successful after joining it. It was still in 2017 that he joined this said platform and until now, he is still connected. It's fantastic! It was so inspiring to hear directly from him how Hive changes the lives of other bloggers including himself. The way he talked, I realized how kind is he too, contrary to what I had thought. I should have regretted it if I wasn't able to come. Meeting him in person is a great opportunity and something to be cherished.

I was amazed when they told us that we can do an onboarding now 😊. It was such an incredible achievement after all. It's a matter of trust and confidence. I have grown gradually. Bravo! Since we were given this lucky chance, we accepted it heartily. We can encourage others to be on this platform and can share the goodness it offers. There was a feeling of nervousness however, I was enlightened when innumerable questions that perplexed my mind were answered. Congratulations to all of us! We nailed it!

Inday Clara also added some pieces of information regarding the onboarding. Another additional knowledge was learned from her as to what are the things to be done if we will onboard somebody. Thanks to them, my mind was opened and I was halfway there.

Another fun time

After the talks of these two esteemed curators, the fun continued. We agreed to ride a banana boat to savor the remaining time together. It was joyride time. My child took my place and they were so glad in their ride. Returning from their joyous ride, we had eaten together again.

To have seen @ybanezkim26 personally is such an indescribable feeling and being with @indayclara again is really great. She is very generous, she never let us go home without bringing the food left on the table. The essence of being a Filipino "The Bring House" is practiced. This bond together with my co-bloggers gives color to my world of blogging.

Reading and listening to the blogs of others is truly stimulating, and meeting up with these bloggers adds a spectacular experience that will make my world of blogging more memorable and exciting.

How astonishing this meet-up was, more knowledge was imparted, there was a sense of belongingness, and immeasurable happiness was felt within. Later on, I discovered how good @ybanezkim26 and @indayclara are inside and out. We the teacher-bloggers were having a great day creating wonderful memories with this bloggers' meet-up. Hope this will happen again together with another bloggers very soon. We went home wearing happy smiles, full of contentment, and very thankful to everyone present.
