Outside of the Cup Thoughts No. 01: Living the Dream

in Hive PH9 months ago
Hello, amazing people of Hive! Do you love the title? It's pretty witty, right? Hahaha. 😂

Anyways, Ange’s here again to share another random thought of mine. So, while creating this post, I was at the Starbucks in front of the building where Sheree’s workplace is. Usually, I only order iced coffee and frappe. Still, since the weather gives a cold atmosphere, I ordered a Hot Caramel Macchiato in a Venti size instead. ☕🍵

And as I created this post, I realized that working in a coffee shop helps me become more productive. Because the people around you are also doing things such as homework, reports, and presentations. So, as you see the people around you being productive, you are being productive as well, and of course, the presence of coffee helps in gaining more energy to become productive at doing your tasks. 👩‍💻

And you know what? Taylor Swift’s songs can help in increasing your productivity, too hahaha. As you can see, while creating the draft for this post and making daily plans, I’m playing one of her songs on my Spotify titled Champagne Problems. I randomly played the songs in the playlist that I created for Sheree’s favorite song of Taylor. Playing her songs has become my routine. And that was because my girlfriend influenced me, hehe. 🎧🎶

So, anyways, here’s my random thought and somehow a realization. Have you ever been a Wattpad reader once in your life? Because before, I was an author on Wattpad during my teenage years. I created five published stories where the celebrities such as Vice Ganda, Karylle, Daniel Padilla, and Kathryn Bernardo are the characters.

My published stories during my Wattpad author era

If you can recall, from our previous post titled Things to Do After Graduation, I mentioned that I once dreamed of becoming an author. I couldn’t push through this because I felt it was not for me, and I struggled to finish a book. Since I am the type of person who does things then will not accomplish but will start with another one.

So, during those times when there were countless offers in my dream of becoming an author, I attended this one event. This is an event of Wattpad Philippines, partnering with Republika ng TM (Republic of TM). At that event, the famous authors in the Philippines taught us how to create and publish a book starting from making a manuscript and planning its chapters.

Then after that, they opened a project that offers free publishing from VIVA PSICOM Publishing. Only one story will be chosen, so I grabbed that chance from that moment. I created a manuscript. That manuscript contains a story about myself and my love life history. So, its genre is romance and a self-help book. Unfortunately, my story was not chosen, so that day I thought that maybe being an author was not for me. 😅

But you know what? The awesome part of becoming an author and living today’s reality is when I am precisely experiencing those things I wrote before in one of the chapters of my published stories on Wattpad. I’m fond of creating scenic moments like those scenarios where the characters are doing their work in a coffee shop. And that scenario I’ve always included in my chapters is what I am doing right now. 🥰

It’s really a wholesome achievement when you’re already doing those scenarios that once made you wish that you hope you would be doing someday. Because when I create scenarios in a story, those scenarios are on my bucket list, and I wish I’d be doing it someday. Aside from doing my tasks at a coffee shop, I’ve also dreamed of having my coffee shop someday, hahaha. I guess that will happen soon. I hope so! 🤞

How about you? Do you have some realizations like this too? 😊

Let me know it in the comment section below. 💖
