Finding Strength in Stillness: A Libran Seeking Harmony from Tabogon, Cebu

Hello beautiful people of Hive! I am Dina Ivy Playda Llamoren from the third-class Municipality of Tabogon in the Province of Cebu. I am 20 years old. I was born on September 26, 2003, in Maravilla, Tabuelan, Cebu. I was born there and raised in Mabuli, Tabogon, Cebu. I am a September Libra, just like my horoscope symbol, a 'scale'. I embody justice, love to create harmony, and thrive for unity. I love playing with my dog's namely: Chelsea, Margaux, Reeve, George, and Knoa. I find solace when I am with them they are my best buddy, I treated them as my own. At first my father was against with having a dogs since their last dog died due to food poisoning, but now my father welcome my dogs and treat them as a member of our family.

I love reading Wattpad stories and my favorite author is Ventre Canard. I love reading her story because of how good she is as an author, one thing about her story is all about Science Fiction we gain a lot of knowledge about science when we read her stories. My favorite phrase is 'In pursuit of self-actualization' by Jonaxx, a well-known Wattpad author. I am single and have no time to find the so-called 'love of my life' because I am too busy pursuing my dreams. I'm more concerned with discovering my worth, erecting barriers, redefining myself, regaining my alpha woman energy, and seeking self-reflection. As the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:1, 'For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven,' I believe God has perfect timing for significant events in our lives and the world. So I will wait until God declares His power in my life, and when the time comes, He will grant my desire in life.Until this phrase would be "been pursued".

This year, I encountered the broken version of myself, but I also discovered that I am strong because I did not allow my thoughts wrecked my entire soul. This phase of my life I would call "pahinga lang," which means rest. Time froze for everything because the last time I was certain of my goals, they applied a lot of force to my delicate wind, transforming me into an enormous storm. The last time I offered my hand, they tried to take both of my limbs. Despite my experience, I managed to get up and fight under pressure, because in the silence of my struggle, I found the voice that whispered resilience, urging me to reclaim the fragments of my spirit scattered by the strong storm. In this 'pahinga lang' phase, I found solace in repairing my trust and building myself against vulnerability. Now, as I stand here, not just surviving but thriving, I realize that strength is more than just weathering the storms—it's about embracing the calm afterward, breathing deeply, and knowing that within me, there is a firm light that even the darkest nights cannot eliminate. And, to my surprised I have my people at my back cheering for me at my lowest and giving me an amount of love that I could bring for the rest of my life.

Get to know me!

I've been playing volleyball since I was a child, and my father coaches and trains me. I used to play indoor and outdoor volleyball with my cousins in Maravilla. I used to play badminton for fun with my siblings. It taught me how group works, the teamwork and the common goal you want to achieve, it also taught me how great having an attitude of sportsmanship, respect, and discipline. Then I stopped for a moment of time because I focused more on my academic but I didn't forgotten my first love, then I had a chance to play for our Barangay the Sangguniang Kabataan Mabuli held a basketball and volleyball league activities for the upcoming Barangay Fiesta. We got the Bronze Medal and it taught us how hard the success to reach yet fulfilling for what we have accomplished.

When it comes to dancing it is my way of relieving any stress or problem. When I am down so bad, I used to play any music so I can dance and to release any toxins in my mind. I used to be a performer when I was in my Junior High School. I joined different contest in dancing back then that is related to my academic pursuits. I dance with different genre, if I could define dancing in my own words, well, for me, dancing is my sanctuary.

I do love writing in fact I am a former Sci-tech Writer-Filipino, I am a Regional School Press Conference Contender and a Division School Press Conference 5th placer way back in 2019. I am also a member of School Publishing Organization called "Technological Tribune" in Cebu Technological University -Tabogon Extension Campus. Writing it is where I can express my thoughts about something since I am not good in any verbal communication, I don't have any confidence to talk with a lot of people except for my friends, I used writing for letting my emotions been expressed in a right way.

I studied Bachelor of Elementary Education in Cebu Technological University -Tabogon Extension Campus, I am now a third year student. When I was in my intermediate year up until now, I am a consistent academic achiever. I also love to join different contest both school base and division base like spelling bee, and science quiz. My favorite subject would be Science, I love how science work in our everyday life, solve and explain any mysteries used by science. My favorite branch of science is astronomy, I love anything to talk about space, satellite, UFO, alien, and planets.

As Billie Eillish song says "Birds of the feather we should stick together", Beyond my personal endeavors, my relationships with family, friends, and cousins are the midpoint to my happiness. I am so close with my cousin's,and friends and like we are tied up to be a family. They are my anchor, my foundation in life. They are my mate when I feel so losts I come to them and makes everything right. I am the eldest, we are five in the family. My family is very simple, we used to tease each other and fight with each other and I think that is what we build a strong foundation with one another to be tough and strong being a family.We live and embody simplicity, hardwork, and harmony, we are not that showy but we make sure that our love we had with each other would feel in the air.

I joined Hive for my own improvement. I have knowledge about composing different genres of writing, so I want my skills to be nurtured and enhanced. Hive is for us to interact with other people as it is a social app where we get to know one another. I seek improvement, which is why I joined Hive. I think Hive can help me be who I am when it comes to writing and sharing my experiences as a new writer/blogger.

I am a visionary person, and I think my biggest contribution in joining Hive is to see a wonder in every detail of our surroundings, the authenticity of our everyday life that a lot of people do not notice. My vision is to tell about how people lived with gratitude, and I'll share the positive side of Filipino women living in a mountainous area and how we indulge in everyday life being far from civilization. As we all know, life in urban areas is far from life in rural ones, so I want you all to see and be in awe of how we survive the toughest battles facing different crises in our everyday lives. You can soon see in my blog about the adventures since I love extreme activities and my family also loves to visit different places, hang out with my friends, I'll also post the beauty of the golden scenery painted by the sky since I love capturing sunsets, school-related stuff, and random moments. My classmate @mejoy introduced me to Hive. She invited me to join because I love writing, and it suits me very well. On July 15, 2024, at exactly 7:00 in the evening, Ms. @jeannmazing oriented us about Hive together with my classmates Dianne and Mardy. She explained how Hive works. The orientation lasted about 2-3 hours. She passionately presented what this platform is thoroughly, and I am so happy that we are one step ahead of our desired goals to share anything and interact with people in the Hive Community.
