2023 YEAR END PARTY

Hi Hiversss!!! @yourcap is back with another blog to share with you. Here's the ending of my year 2023.

December 29, 2023, we've gathered together to celebrate our year-end party with the neighborhood. A day full of laughter and fun, bonding just once in a year. It was a very nice ending of my 2023 with the people in our place.

The party started with many preparations from caroling, a tent, table and chairs, food, designs, gifts, and games.

Days before we did caroling with my neighbors (children, teens, and adults) to gather some money that we could use for the party. It was really fun singing Christmas songs under the moon in each house in exchange for money (easy money right? hahaha). We bought instruments like a drum, a bell that uses bottle caps to make sounds, and some lights to attract the house owners. We gathered 2,180 a total amount of money for just 2 nights how much more if we have time for caroling, maybe we can buy a lechon hahaha.

Night of December 28 the five of us are busy we made suman (sticky rice) and puso ( hanging rice). We're just a few here because the others are also busy with their pledges. Foods are ready for the party!!

Everyone is gathered early in the morning to arrange the setup. From the tent, tables and chairs, and the design. We put our efforts into the preparations to achieve success at our party. The boys were in full force assembling the tent and the tables and wiring for the lights when evening came. While the girls are still in their own houses doing their stuff and preparing their selves (girls are always girls hahaha).

The call time is 1:00 p.m., and everyone is slowly coming bringing gifts and foods with them. I can see on their faces the excitement they are wearing and their big smiles while putting on what they bought. We also have a color-coding, we can only wear red, green and yellow shirts. But do you know what color is the highlight? It's color RED.

While we were going to start our party the rain came but it will not stop us. The children are still excited and waiting for the rain to stop.

When the rain slowly went away we quickly started our program because we were now running out of time. We did a Zumba first and we had an instructor with us. All of us participated even kids and olds. We've been laughing and enjoying the Zumba time watching everyone making their own stepping hahaha. The kids are really focused and seriously dancing while copying the instructor. Everyone is all sweaty when the 3rd music is down but there 2 more left. Still, no one will give up and go on just to continue dancing.

After the Zumba, we just take a rest for a minute then continue to the games. This is the most awaited part of the kids. The first game we did was IN AND OUT the kids really enjoyed this one and also the watchers hahaha. There's also a game for the adults DRINKING BEER USING STRAW they can't drink it because all of them vomited hahaha. The girls also participated cause they didn't want to be defeated hahaha only the moms played this one.

Then when everyone felt their tummy is shaking that's when the eating begins. And of course first in line are the kids. They've been starving for the food the whole time and also the adults hahaha. While eating I can in their faces that they are satisfied with the food and looks like everyone is full.

Night came and the party still continue, we even did a bunch of games it was much more fun because the adults are being tipsy na and they still participated hahaha.

It was already late at night some got home having their beauty sleep and few remained to make the most of the day singing at videoke. It's a bond with the neighbors to be more close and open with each other.
